Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 12, 2002 Taker didn't make it into the Backlash main-event, why the hell would they wait a month to deliver the same match? I see Austin/HHH trying to pull in a nice buyrate. The question is, don't you think it's overdone? I mean the guys feuded back in Sumerslam 99 for a while, and it was never blown off at Survivor Series or the PPV after that because of the neck injury. Then they picked it back up at the end of 2000, and it carried through No Way Out 2001. Then, the 2 Man Power Trip kept them onj camera together for a couple months. I'm damn sick and tired of them being involved with eachother! I'd much rather see Jericho/HHH 2 w/o Steph or a returning Benoit against HHH rather than Austin HHH again. HHH is a shell fo what he was back then and Austin needs to turn heel at least before he feuds with HHH again. 2 Faces? No. So, if Austin turns heel and brings back that fun character and workrate he had in 2001, go for it. Other than that, screw watching them stink it up. P.S. A heel Austin wouldn't use WHAT! Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted April 12, 2002 With the nostalgia tour in full effect (Hogan/Rock, Hogan/HHH) will we now see the next leg: Hogan/SCSA?????? They're making a big deal that Hogan wants the title one last time. What if Hogan beats HHH. Setting up SCSA/Hogan. Maybe SCSA was promised this matchup to come back from his hiatus and see if he can outdraw Rock/Hogan. Just a thought.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted April 12, 2002 I think it's a definite, just because of the buyrate issue, like you mentioned. They both had a MOTY last year at No Way Out, but the Austin and Triple H that wrestled then are almost two entirely different people than they are now. That being said, I think it's not really overdone - I'd consider it in the realm of "classic feud", kind of like Triple H/Rock. They've had an amazing share of matches, but the last one was at least a year ago.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 12, 2002 You do have a point, but damn Austin needs to go back heel. How could he do it?
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted April 13, 2002 I say put him in firm tweener mode - have him come out, poke fun at Helmsley gimping along and then have him tear up the quad. Maybe have him bring back the Pillman-izer or something, just for fun. All the Austin fans would dig it that he's back in business, and Triple H would have even MORE sympathy heat. Guest Special K Report post Posted April 13, 2002 You guys don't think HHH will be a heel soon? I din't see hogan getting the belt at Backlash, but again I don't see a face HHH going over him, so I think the 2 things that could happen are: 1) nWo turns on Hogan, costing him the match (ugh). or 2) HHH turns heel and beats Hogan (which doesn't necessarily preclude an nWo run-in. What do y'all think?
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted April 13, 2002 Although it'd be logical for them to turn Triple H heel, I just don't see them doing it. I personally see the Undertaker making a run-in on Hogan, just so that they can have Hogan/UT at the next PPV and then they can play off of Hogan nostalgia BIG time.
