So if Angle loses, it hurts his credibility. If he wins, then the feud might continue. Which is worse?

Remember, they continued Edge/Regal for 3 months.....

Hehe. No, they're holding a nice cushy Rock feud as a reward for Kurt, aren't they? ??? ???

Angle has already elevated Edge though. Does anyone remember King of the Ring? If they want to elevate Edge so badly maybe they should have him fight more then one main eventer. With all the times that Undertaker got the better of Edge and Christian if they would've had Edge beat Taker before the split it would have done a lot more then Edge beating Angle again.

Sadly, Rock won't be back until June/July. Only 2 more months. I think Hogan is Angle's only chance.

Maybe Angle and Jericho can team up for a while.

[HHH] - Depushing Angle is Jericho is taking to long. I have an idea! I'll de-push them both at the same time! Here comes Angle & Jericho vs the reunited Test & Albert feud!

[steph] - HHH, you are a creative genius!

I wouldn't mind Angle teaming up with the following Triple H-depushed wrestlers.....

Chris Jericho

Steve Austin

If they are made into heels, it could make for some quite interesting television.....

Ahh, Crap! With my luck, they'd feud with Edge and Christian.

Actually, that wouldn't be that bad. Edge NEEDS Christian.

According to the WWF creative team, Christian needs Edge.

If Christian got the Edge Push, he wouldn't have BillyGunned it.

I have to admit, things aren't looking so good for Angle and Jericho right now...except for one thing that gave me a glimmer of hope.

Last night on Smackdown, together, they left the HHH twins laid out.

What if something actually comes of this "pact" and they form the nucleus of a bad ass stable?  Okay, it's probably not going to happen unless somehow one of us becomes WWF head booker overnight (what a glorious miracle that would be!) but it would be interesting if, together, they continued to get the better of a divided house of top faces (HHH & HHH).

Hey, I can hope and dream, can't I?

I like Angle/Jericho raging against the machine.

My bad, RVD has also been depushed, because before January 7th, he was feuding with Jericho, then he got stuck with Regal.  Austin was in a funny feud with Booker T which was drawing attention, then the nWo came along and so did Scott Hall.  Kurt Angle was getting a lot of heat, and then Edge sucked it dry from him.  Austin, Jericho, RVD, and Angle are probably clique 2002's first four major victims.  Even Rock has been made to look like Hogan's lil' buddy.....

Hogan is the only guy more popular than HHH now with Rock gone, so look for HHH to beat Hogan cleanly at Backlash.

Hunter has effectively killed all the top contenders in about three months.

Could we see an Austin/Angle/Jericho/RVD stable form?  They can go against Triple H and the nWo saying that they are conspiracy victims.  But that teeters on kayfabe and Vince cannot have that now can he?

Yep, not even the most famous face in Wrestling can survive the Tripple H depush.

Do you really want to see those 4 in a stable, in the ring, cutting a promo together.

Austin- What? I am sick of being depushed by HHH. What?

Angle- It's True, It's True.

RVD- Yeah. That's not cool.

Jericho- HHH is a loooooooosssssssseeeeerrrrrrr!!!!

[HHH's music hits. He comes down to the ring. The 4 men fight HHH, but he no sells everything, and knocks out all of them}

HHH- I am the game, and I am that damn good!

90% of the people on this board hated that Austin-Booker T. feud, not to mention the fact that it was ratings poision.  Don't rewrite history.  And how Kurt Angle has had his heat sucked dry by Edge is totally beyond me.  He's still the most over heel in the company, regardless of two months of these midcard feuds that are so below a main eventer of his stature.

At what point has he been made to look inept against a midcarder?  He beat Kane at 'Mania,

By cheating his ass off...

Angle is a heel.

and punked him out several times prior to that on TV.

Kane got him more.

Angle won the match

He hasn't been made to look inept against Edge,to the best of my knowledge

Lets see. Edge pinned him in a tag match. He attacked Angle the following Smackdown, and Angle only got the upperhand after Booker helped. Edge ebat the shit out of Angle on the next Raw. He dominated a Smackdown match, was only stopped after a chairshot, then proceded to destroy Angle later in the show.

Was that Edge I saw take an Olympic Slam on the concrete Thursday? Interesting.

It adds more suspense as to who's going to win at Backlash

The main eventer should beat the midcarder, no questions asked.

So, no one should ever be elevated, because we all know that everyone starts out in the main event, and since main eventers should only feud other main eventers...

Hopefully HHH will continue to get lukewarm heat. I think that is probably the only way to get rid of him controlling everything. If he's just not over. I look for Hogan to hit a big boot followed by two big legdrops and then have HHH kick out at 1.5. If HHH is really getting on your nerves watch Wrestlemania 12 when the Warrior squashes him after taking the pedigree. Ahhhh a time when Hunter had no backstage power whatsoever. I actually think that one of the reasons HHH is going around swinging his power is because of instances like Wrestlemania 12. I've read interviews recently (within the last year or two) where he still gets mad about that situation. Maybe we can blame the Warrior for all of this.

Edge isn't really getting elevated. He is just pulling Angle down. HHH & Hogan are really the only ones on the Smackdown roster that can feud with a midcarder and not get dragged down.

Angle is a heel.

Undertaker is a heel. He isn't cheating like hell. Heel Hunter rarely cheated. Hell Austin cheated, but was still able to fend off midcarders (Spike Dudley) Just because you are a heel doesn't mean you have to be an inept bafoon.

Angle won the match

In an extremely weak fashion.

Was that Edge I saw kciking Angle's ass until jericho amde the save?

If you destroy one main eventer to make another, you are back where you started.

I disagree.  If you destroy a bad main eventer (ex. HHH) for a good midcarder (ex. Lance Storm) it is a good thing.

But Angle is better than Edge, so you are really hurting your company.

Sounds good to me.

But then, just because somebody grows up to be a pedophile as a result of their their uncle sexually abusing them as a child, doesn't mean the pedophilic acts they themselves commit on a new generation of kids should be excused or are in any way less criminal.

Which means we can hate BOTH Warrior and HHH!  Woo Hoo!  God Bless America!
