Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 18, 2004 Katherine Isabelle is a good actress, fucky. In Ginger Snaps yes, but not in FvsJ. Kane Hodder playing Jason wouldn't have affected the movie at all, but it did suck that the guy best known as Jason didn't get to don the mask in Vs.
DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 The third ending that was never filmed: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Crystal Lake turns into a giant hand that drains the lake and pulls Freddy and Jason down to Hell. Lori's dad comes to the now dried-up Crystal Lake and finds Freddy's glove. Lori's dad would then say something about covering up the whole Freddy situation. As he is about to pick up the glove, Freddy's hand pops out of the ground and pulls him into Hell. In the following scene, you would see Freddy slipping the glove back on, while having an evil smile on his face. There would be a gleam of light off of a machete, and Freddy's smile would turn into a look of fear, with Jason coming up from behind. Freddy and Jason would start fighting again. The camera would then pull back, revealing that Freddy and Jason are fighting in Hell, complete with a bunch of demons watching the fight. I probably left out a few minor details, but that's about the gist of it. That ending sounds sweet but Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Why would the hand just come out of the ground for no reason? Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Okay something that's been bugging me: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I noticed it was never explained WHY Freddy killed the main chick's mother. Did they explain it in the deleted scenes? And also with that plot point in the movie, was the mother's killing a carry over from a previous NoES movie like Westin Hills or was it made just for Freddy Vs. Jason? Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 This is not an answer but adding to what you said Deon. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Yeah why did Freddy kill her? I thought he only killed kids.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted January 19, 2004 This is not an answer but adding to what you said Deon. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Yeah why did Freddy kill her? I thought he only killed kids. Maybe she was a relative to an Elm Street adult who killed him. Remember, he would kill the parents children, and their children etc. for what they did to him. Or I hope thats how it was.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 So I was watching the commentary and Robert Englund mentioned how they made Wes Craven angry by making Freddy to funny yet he claims it's always been like that it was just enhanced. Which movie did Freddy go into full stand up comic mode in?

Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Freddy has killed adults before. He killed Nancy's mother in ANOES and Nancy's dad in ANOES 3. Freddy also killed his own wife. As mentioned, he also killed Lori's mom in Freddy vs. Jason. The connection? They all lived at Freddy's house, 1428 Elm Street. Freddy even tells Lori that he "always had a thing for the whores that lived in this house."
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 19, 2004 So I was watching the commentary and Robert Englund mentioned how they made Wes Craven angry by making Freddy to funny yet he claims it's always been like that it was just enhanced. Which movie did Freddy go into full stand up comic mode in? Freddy always had a humerous side, but it was more evident starting in the third film. In the first two films, Freddy's humor was very dark, but from the third film on his humor got sillier.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Wes Craven complaining Freddy was too funny? Yeah, sure, and Freddy was Mr. Serious in all the ones after 2. Please, Freddy was about the same breed of humor in this one as all the others. What I'd really like to see is Robert England in a serious PREQUEL to the Nightmare films as the serial killer Fred Krueger. Freddy vs Jason TOUCHED on this some and that was a creepy scene. I'd like to see a full length film just about that storyline. It would re-establish that Freddy was a monster before he became a monster and allow them to turn away from the comedy Freddy if they decided to do that. A guy isn't as funny if you have seen his character murdering little children.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 19, 2004 But even in a serious prequel Fred Krueger would need to keep some humor. Fred's a sick man who gets enjoyment from what he does, so he would likely be wisecracking while doing it. It just can't be as silly as demon Freddy's humor. I'd want to see some sick and twisted dark humor from serial killer Fred.

I'd want to see some sick and twisted dark humor from serial killer Fred. Maybe towards the parents and maybe singing to the little kids before he kills them. Hell, have him be the origin of that song they sing. You can't have Fred cracking jokes at little little children before he kills them though. Towards the parents? Sure. But towards 7-10 year olds? If he does some sick humor while looking for them in his house? Ok, that would work.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 20, 2004 Well yeah you'd have to pick and choose where you use the sick and twisted humor. You can't have the film over flowing with it. Used correctly and with restraint I think it would work very well in a serious version of Fred Krueger: Serial Killer. Trust me...no one will be laughing at the jokes if the film is made correctly. Unfortunaly, such a film would never be allowed to be done correctly in America.
