Guest kurtangledoesnotsuck Report post Posted April 13, 2002 Quite frankly, I found Wrestlemania a highly enjoyable PPV, first time round. Although on closer inspection, no matches were outstanding and many others only lasted 6 mins. Take Rvd vs Regal, for example. I bet you that they could have had a better match on Raw. RVD forgot to do some of his moves and Regal, is just Regal. Edge vs Booker was totally terrible, with no new ideas and Edge winning.....again. Kurt Angle vs Kane was good and Kane, in my opinion, has turned the corner. The Tag match was absolute rubbish. It was Pier six in the first minute. If you are gonna do a tag match, get guys who know the concept of tagging. Undertaker vs Flair was steady, but Undertaker is a bastard for taking no bumps and blading the front of his head when he was "hit at the back". Flair was good but shouldn't be competing anymore. Jericho vs HHH was another Raw match but 10 minutes longer. Kick, Bam, Pedigree. New Champion! HHH is a heel, not a face. The sooner the heel turn the better. Which brings me to Backlash. First, there is no way I am paying Sky Box Office £15 for this. I'll read the Keith rant and maybe buy it on DvD. Hands up if you want to see Undertaker vs Austin for the 789787534757323th time? Ok, you two go to the back of the room and let the normal human beings on this earth decide what to do. Undertaker is bloody awful and teasing a WWF title reign after terrorising woman, pre-pubescents and old men, for the last three months, is just WWF style suicide. Austin is still cabable of a brilliant match but pitting him against a broomstick has more potential. Hogan vs HHH could be the worst main=event since 1995. I'm not kidding. Hogan had a good match with Rock (Sorry, I failed to mention that one) but as a sign said a few weeks ago, Hogan was old 20 years ago. Putting a near 50 year old in a main event of PPV, that will do a decent buyrate, reeks of Russo and reeks of WcW. HHH is still to have a good match since his comeback. Carrying Hulk Hogan will not help that cause. So unless the WWF buck up their ideas, I will be watching old WWF matches for enjoyment, not the new stuff. Guest RickyB Report post Posted April 13, 2002 I think your just trying to find an excuse for not having to pay for a PPV. Usually I wouldn't be happy paying for a WWF Event since I have to pay £40 ( about $60 - $80) to get Sky Sports to watch WWF shows anyway, but this one has Hulk Hogan on it so i'm definatly buying it. I really think that your just making excuses for not buying the event. If you don't want to pay for the WWF event then that's fine, I wouldn't buy it either if Hulk Hogan wasn't on it. But look at the good matches that will be on the card. RVD Vs Eddie, Kidman Vs Tajiri, Angle Vs Edge and even though it's happened before, Austin Vs Undertaker WILL be a good match. The Undertaker has been working his ass off lately and he's had some good matches. If you don't want to buy it then just don't buy it but there is no reason to just come on here and whine about it.
