EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 WWE International Heat Taping Results & RAW Notes Off air results from RAW... Credit: Ryan Rodig, 1wrestling.com The Raw show from Green Bay's Resch Center was a lot more packed than I personally expected it to be. Probably around 8,000 people or so. Crowd was pretty hot throughout except for a few dull moments and matches. The Green Bay Packer's Defensive linemen "KGB" Kabeer Baja Biamiliah and Gilbert Brown were ringside as shown on TV. They were involved in a few bits off camera one being a heated confrontation with Scott Steiner, as Steiner is known for trying to rile people up. The crowd went crazy afterwards and people were chanting "KGB" while doing the RVD finger pointing. They were also introduced into the ring by Stone Cold after the show for what turned out to be a birthday party for WWE's very own Pat Patterson. All the Raw babyfaces came out to the ring and shared some beers. Stone Cold then got Pat to sing "I Did it My Way" and surprisingly he is a very good singer and did it very well to a huge ovation. Lillian and Austin then led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to WWE's very first Intercontinental Champion. The bit after the show was very entertaining and Austin easily has the biggest pops all night with Goldberg, The Dudleys, RVD and Jericho behind him. The only substantial heel heat went to Mark Henry (mostly just groans after hearing his music) and La Resistance. No HBK or HHH was very odd the week before their big Royal Rumble match, but i really don't see much more they could of done with the two after last week's segment. Now onto the Dark Match/ Heat Spoilers... They announced the matches that were before Raw as Heat matches so I am not sure whether any of these won't be televised. The Dudleys over 2 Jobbers witht he 3-D Steven Richards over Rob Conway with the X-factor facebuster. Val Venis and Lance Storm over Jindrak and Cade when Venis hit the Top-Rope Splash Rosey over Kamikaze Ken with some sort of swinging slam * It was very evident especially in the Heat matches that the superstars were implementing a more slowly paced style of matches that built toward the finish. Crowd had mixed reactions to the style but it mostly depended on who was in the ring. The wrestlers seemed to actually be given the time this week however to tell more of a story in their matches. Overall it was a pretty good show with a lot of wrestling that built up the importance of the Royal Rumble.

Im surprised they didn't.

This exactly happened after SummerSlam ended when everyone was celebrating McMahon's B-Day. *goes on to bitch why they couldn't have included the aftershow bash as an extra / easter egg on the DVD
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I'm surprised they didn't have Brooklyn Brawler hop out of a cake for him. Also good idea by Marvin, that might have actually gotten Orton some good heat.

EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Do you think it would have? While I've never seen him wrestle I do know that Pat was the first IC champ and had some good from what I hear. But, do the fans of today know him as that? They know him and Brisco as stooges for Vince that would get embrassed at every turn and then some. I mean the bra and panties match between the two and, of course, Poop Stain Patterson to name a few. So, I doubt the fans see him as anything more then a big joke. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 But, do the fans of today know him as that? If they watched Judgment Day last year, JR informed the viewers, before the Battle Royale, started of that fact.
