The best moment for me was when Flair came back to WCW in Sep. 98 after the lawsuit WCW had going against him. Russo shooting on Hogan was also a great thing. There are more, but they skip my mind right now.

Flair's return on Nitro was without question the best moment ever in WCW.  Payback for all the pain the fans had to go through.

Not the most "important," per se - that would probably be the Memorial Day Scott Hall appearance on Nitro, or the Hogan turn.  But in terms of just the best moment, it's Flair's return.

Well, my favorite was when WCW finally rose up, and beat the NWO out of existance...and proved that they were number one.

Oh, wait...that never happened...sorry.

Naw, actually my favorite WCW moment is Ric Flair returning to Nitro in September of 98. Without a doubt, it was the best.

This isn't a best moment, but one of the funniest. Roddy Piper was doing a promo in the ring, Buff Bagwell got involved (This was during the original young vs. old angle that went nowhere). Piper told Bagwell "How many times have you main evented at Madison Sq. Garden?" or something like that. The best line Bagwell could come up with was "I wasn't born yet!" I think Piper did a little shoot on Buff, as I read Piper wasn't supposed to say that.

The best part for me was during a Lance Storm-Booker T World title match on Nitro.  It had Schiavone, Madden, Hudson, Mike Awesome, and Heidi on commentary.

Halfway through the match, a catering guy comes out to the ring, and delivers a bunch of ham sandwiches for Heidi.  Schiavone picks up on this, and says something to the effect of, "Oh my god, fans!  This is a first for a middle of a World title match, as Heidi is eating a ham sandwich!"  The way Schiavone sounded, it was almost as if Heidi won the World title or something.

I laughed for a good a minute or so after that line.  It just seemed to epitomize the Russo era so perfectly. You have two guys in the ring, working their hearts out trying to put on a reasonably good match, and what do the announcers care about?  A fat woman eating a ham sandwich. *sigh* How I miss Russo booking sometimes...

Best WCW moment ever? Not to sound silly, but the last one. Or last match, at least. I marked out hard, I cried, and I shouted all throughout that final Sting/Flair match, even though it was hard to watch from a workrate perspective. That, to me, is exactly the way the company deserved to go out.

Well, the best wcw moment ever for me is the entire ending segment of the sept.2nd 96 nitro.

It just goes from a decent 8-man tag between the horsemen and faces of fear and then out of nowhere scott hall comes in and attacks ric flair followed by nash and hogan and the crowd is going apeshit as about 11 guys are all brawling all over the place with chairs and everything.

Then the giant comes out with bischoff screaming(what else does he do?)"The giant's here!"

The giant then proceeds to chokeslam the faces of fear and everyone shits themselves in commentary and the nwo beat the shit out of everyone then head to the commentary box.

The giant then "tries" to explain why he turned heel but that piece of shit hogan keeps interrupting his fucking heel turn interview(But then again what do you expect from hogan)

Then the dungeon and the horsemen charge the commentary position and the sight of kevin sullivan tossing that chair at them and the crowd going apeshit gives me goosebumps as does the ensuing brawl and the ending with that sweet old-school nitro music.

But then again i was a huge nwo mark.

So thay had a heel vs. heel match interrupted by heels.

That was a very unique feud. Both teams were technically heels stemming from their Alliance....TO END HULKAMANIA!!!!!!! BWAHAHA...ehem, then they started a HEATED feud with Sullivan both hating Anderson and Benoit, I don't really remember what the point was but the fans really got behind the Horsemen.

The best moment was indeed Flair's comeback interview. The pure emotion both from the insanely loud ovation from the Charlotte fans and the very real emotion that Flair was feeling. I loved it...ABUSE OF POWER! YOU ARE A NO GOOD OVER BEARING SON OF A BITCH! FIRE ME! I'M ALREADY FIRED!

Other good ones were when the nWO attacked a bunch of guys with pipes in the back of the Orlando tapings, and Mysterio got thrown like a lawn dart into the trailer. Then Scotty Anton ran out and got whacked with a gym bag "Marcus!?...." WHACK! haha. But that segment seemed so real at the time, with Flair and Sting and Luger and everyone totally throwing away their rivalries to be concerned over their fallen partners. And I remember Eddy translating for Rey, "Their were FOUR!". Heh, the nWO angle ruled at the beginning, no way the WWF could recreate it. No Way.

The Horsemen vs. DoD feud would be the last for Ric Flair. As he got hurt in Oct. and came back a face in early 1997.

Flair's promo from the last Nitro and then he an Sting's match, with all their patented spots, combined those two are near the top of my list.  i still can't believe that WCW didn't somehow manage to fuck that up.

Vince fucked it up by cutting away in the middle of their embrace, showing him redoing his entrance and not even allowing the announcers to give a formal goodbye and thank you to all the loyal WCW fans...

That pissed me off. Vince should of let them say good bye, and should of aired a special video package of WCW dating back all the way to the early TBS days. The WCW Champions package was very well done and great music was used for it. That wasn't enough, IMO.

Man, did Sting & Vader have some great matches or what? They'll probably still ave great matches if they wrestled today.

Another great WCW moment was way back in the '80s. When the Horsemen beat up Dusty in the parking lot (I think).

I think pretty much anything that happened in 1989 kicked ass

I also liked the Dangerous Alliance angle and the big War Games match at Wrestle War 92

War Games '92 was IMO the best War Games of all time. Ahead of the original match. The Dangerous Alliance angle was also great.

You are correct the Dangerous Alliance angle was great, I remember I was 4 years old when the Dangerous Alliance angle was going on and I had a fake cordless phone like Paul E. Dangerously and I walked around with it.

Thanks.

Greatest wrestling moment- Flair-Steamboat 2/3 falls (of course this was the NWA).

To me the greatest moment was Jericho introducing the cruiserweight battle royal and Ciclope revealed to be Dean Malenko. That was an excellent angle and match.

I gotta agree. Jericho doing the intros for the Crusierweight battle royal were hilarious. Especially when Sliver King came out and Jericho said "12 mores win and he gets upgraded to Golden King" or something like that. Very funny. His angle with Malenko was also awesome. Great heat for their match.
