Roe v. Wade Protests yesterday

Recommended Posts

So I work at the Department of Justice...

Yesterday was fun...I'd like to share with all you why I was disgusted with the protesting going on.

Protestors marched against Roe vs. Wade. That's the headline. It is very deceiving.

1) 90% of those in the protest were 16 or younger. Did we have independent thoughts at 16 and a wealth of information to base an opinion on...No. Neither do they.

2) They were bused in by schools. Schools that are supposed to be teaching about algebra, reading, history. NOT participating in national politics.

3) Shit, most weren't even through puberty.

All in all, we were invaded by private religious schools with chaperones and their classes. If America cared about the debate, then why the hell did I not see people of every age really well representated.

It's because America doesn't. Look at the proportion of civil rights marches here in the 1960s. Then look at the march yesterday. They're entirely different.

I can't believe kids got used like that. Anyone else see it going on?

Judging by EVERY poll, the issue is hardly settled.

Should kids be used? No.
