Guest thebear Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Top 3 Finishes 1. Flair-Steamboat (Chi Town 89)- Flair uses the same move that steamboat used to win the IC Title 2 years earlier, to let flair regain the NWA Title. 2. Austin/Michaels is an absoulte classic, the dueling finishers concept has always peaked my interest, and this was the best by far. 3. Crush VS Doink (WM9)- Clowns are funny, and there were two of them)
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 15, 2002 MY favorite finish of all time would have to be Bret Hart having Austin in the sharpshooter at WM 13, while Austin is bleeding profusely and Shamrock is screaming for Austin to submit. Especially the part where Austin powers out of it for two seconds. After the match Bret becomes a heel and hears the boos, and Austin hears the fans chanting his name. Very extraordinary finish up until then. My second favorite finish would probably be when Austin and Michaels beat Owen and Bulldog for the Tag Team Titles on a Raw. It was great how Austin went for the Stunner, Owen broke it up, referee got distracted, Michaels nails the SCM on Davey Boy Smith, and Austin just jumps on Bulldog for the three and a huge pop...... Guest Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Misawa/Kobashi from 10/21/97: This match doesn't get much props because it is overshadowed by 1/20/97, but this has one of the if not THE best finishing sequences ever. Benoit/Jericho from Summerslam 2000: I don't know why, but this ending was just awesome to me: Jericho going for a small package I think, but Benoit does this freaky-ass counter where he reverses the move TOWARDS the ropes and grabs the bottom rope for the old school finish. That's the only time that finish worked for me, because it worked in the context of the feud: they just wanted to beat/humiliate the hell out of each other. Hart/Austin Survivor Series 1996: Again, this was an awesome "out-of-nowhere" finish, and that was just a crazy finish at the time, which has obviously been mimicked in matches like Austin/Angle and Austin/Rock. Misawa/Kawada from 6/3/94: Obvious reasons. Eddy/Benoit from BOSJ 1995: I turn away in utter horror every time I see that Top Rope Tombstone. Eddy just died in that one. He looked dead LEGIT. Must see wrestling as well. There are probably alot more I'm forgetting......
Guest ManKinnd Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Misawa vs. Kobashi 10/97. Holy fucking shit. This ending sequence has to be at least 5 minutes. Some bad mouth head dropping, but my god this match had me screaming.
Guest caboose Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Breakdown 1998 Rocky Vs Shamrocky Vs Mankind - Cage Match. Mankind climbs over the cage and is on the outer side, but Rocky gets an arm across Shamrocky to get the pin. Mankind doesn't know why he hasn't won, and starts pulling hair out. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I remember a match a few years back on WCW Saturday Night with DDP against Eddy Guererro. DDP had Eddy up on his back on his left shoulder like he was going to give him a shoulder breaker. Then he flipped him up in the air and gave him a Diamond Cutter from the right side. I wish he would get a chance to bust out the crazy variations he used to.
