Who would you pick as the best actor of 2003 based on performance and overall success?

 

For me, the answer would be Johnny Depp. Depp has just been on fire in 2003 with his roles in both Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl & Once Upon a Time in Mexico, with the later role saving the movie for me as I felt Rodriguez kind of fell flat in the story telling aspect of the movie and the lack of developing the characters a little more. IMO Once Upon a Time in Mexico felt kind of thrown together with bad editing, and didn't live up to the success that both El Mariachi and Desperado produced in telling a story of vengeance and revenge. Anyway, enough about Rodriguez! Who is your pick for best actor of 2003?
