Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 14, 2002 By now, we all have heard that Lance Storm jobbed to Funaki, on ACCIDENT. Storm even talked about it in his column on his own website. Anyhow, I just finished watching Jakked, and the WWF did not air the match in question. Say what ya will about them, but at least they didn't go ahead and air that match! By the way, Chavo Vs. Kidman on Jakked was simply on fire, lol, I'm loving the return of the Cruiserweight action!
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Well, at least they're showing Lance (former I/C champion) *some* respect. I hope Chavo gets on TV more often. I really liked his feud with Helms at the end of WCW.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Well, at least the Ross Report makes a little sense now. He claims Storm was in line for a push but then jobbed to Funaki? As long as it was a mistake, I'm alright with it.
Guest Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Well, when you translate from Ross Report-ese to English, "in line for a push" usually does mean "jobbing on Heat/Metal/Jakked/whatever."
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 14, 2002 I totally managed to miss all of this. What Happened??
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Funkai got a roll-up on Storm on the Jakked tapings for the win but something screwed up and there was a mis-count. Lance mentioned it on his site.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 14, 2002 oh okay thanks.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 14, 2002 The crusier match on Jakked may be good, but Mark Llyod is the WORST play by play guy in WWF history. Hands down, this guy makes Cole look like Gordon Solie.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 14, 2002 I did, however, enjoy the contsants ribs that Cole and Snow were throwing at him on Excess and Jakked respectively about getting into the ring. That was kind of funny.

Guest Mole Report post Posted April 14, 2002 I really hope Lance gets a push, especially if Dawn is his manager. But at the Smackdown house show, Dawn wrestled. I really hope they don't make her a wrestler, she is good as a valet.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 15, 2002 WHat happened was Lance didn't kick out of a rollup and the ref made the three count. Storm was supposed to win and his music was playing after he lost.

Guest Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Dawm Marie (sp?) She was Storm's manager in ECW. I don't know why she was wrestling though....
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted April 15, 2002 I think the WWF made the wrong decision by not showing the match. Why not play up the whole "huge upset" factor? If someone like Funaki is never allowed to win, there is no reason for him to be on the show. This isn't the 80's where there is a clear cut jobber versus a clear cut star. I say show the match, set up a rematch for next week, and have Lance squash him then and redeem himself.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Given the position funaki and storm are in...it wouldnt help or hinder them either way...imo...just forget the match happened and then carry on...
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 How was Dawn's match at the tapings? Did it get good reviews?
