Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Juventud Guerrera b Chris Sabin Abismo Negro b Elix Skipper I guess this is how Juvi gets his job back, though I'm disappointed Sabin is eliminated so early. And Abismo Negro over Elix Skipper?! Why?? I'll readily admit to having seen nothing apart from his work in the tag match last night, however, apart from his costume, he did nothing to impress me. Certainly nothing to warrant going over Elix Skipper. And my second favourite AAA guy, Essa Rios gets eliminated in the first round. Bah. Looks like Lynn will be pulling the iron man to get to the finals.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Well, it's not an elimination-style thing, Broken. It's more like a Round Robin tournament, as there are those four singles matches, and then there'll be two regular tag bouts, and one big 8-Man to finish it all off. Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Ohhhhhh!! Thanks for clearing that up, Corey. That makes much more sense.
LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Abismo Negro should change his name to Abysmal Negro. He's not horrible, but he's damn sure not good enough to beat someone like Skipper. It is good, though, that the AAA guys are getting US exposure. No joke - at one point, XPW was actually trying to bring in Abismo, but that fell through, and the replacements for him were MMW, and as they say the rest is history...but ya, they didn't pick the best AAA guys to fly in, but at least they did bring in Papi Chulo (Essa Rios)...he rules. Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted February 6, 2004 What!?! Lynn LOST?! I wonder where this angle is going. I totally didn't see that coming! Why Abismo had such a great tournament, picking up three wins, I'll never understand. Any word on how Lynn lost?

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2004 Isn't Juvi considered a TNA guy? I thought he was still working with them on and off. Plus I'm sure this AAA/TNA thing isn't over yet. Not with the AAA winning.
