Guest ant_7000 Posted April 14, 2002 Report Posted April 14, 2002 Most improved: I would say Jermaine O'neal or Ben Wallace (Defensive player of the year)
Guest starvenger Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 If Wallace doesn't win D player of the year there is something wrong with the voters.
Guest midnight_burn Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 MVP: Tim Duncan (San Antonio) ROY: Pau Gasol (Memphis) 6th: Maybe Bobby Jackson, Corliss Williamson or Desmond Mason COY: Rick Carlisle (Detroit) Defensive: Ben Wallace (Detroit) Improved: Jermaine O'Neal (Indiana)

Guest phoenixrising Posted April 24, 2002 Report Posted April 24, 2002 Well, the Defensive Player and Sixth Man awards have already been decided - Ben Wallace was the Defensive Player of the Year and Corliss Williamson was Sixth Man of the Year. MVP: Jason Kidd, New Jersey Rookie of the Year: Pau Gasol, Vancouver...errrr Memphis Coach of the Year: Byron Scott, New Jersey Most Improved: can't think of one...Wallace and Jermaine O'Neal seem like the popular picks but both were pretty good last year. Not sure.
Guest DrTom Posted April 25, 2002 Report Posted April 25, 2002 And Gasol just ran away with the ROY award today.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 Most Improved: can't think of one...Wallace and Jermaine O'Neal seem like the popular picks but both were pretty good last year. Not sure. Perhaps they were just underrated. I really would have trouble believing that Ben Wallace could have the type of game that he had on Sunday night before I saw it happen and before this season started. I also would have had a hard time picturing Jermaine O'Neal scoring 30 points in a game too.
