How would you rate these matches?

Well, I for one do not look forward to an Angle heel turn. The guy has been a heel for like what, 75% of the time he's been in the WWE? Also... why does it have to be Angle that turns, why not Eddie?

 

Let's see....because Angle is a better heel than a face? Because the WWE fans want to cheer Eddie, so turning him heel would be silly? Because Eddie was clearly the more popular of the two in the SD! Royal Rumble?

Right, here is what I think WWE is doing with the whole Angle-Eddie thing. I could be completely wrong...

 

1) Angle comes back and sees that Eddie Guerrero is the fucking man. Angle instantly believes that Eddie is the guy that can win it all if he gets out of tag teaming and into the singles ranks. Angle goes, "Well shit, I don't need that competition" and strives to keep Eddie in the tag ranks by keeping Los Guerreros together.

 

2) Los Guerreros fall apart anyway. Angle then either brings in Chavo Sr. to either patch things up or sets Eddie up for what Angle hopes will be a match at the Royal Rumble (which leaves the Rumble itself open for Angle to win)

 

3) Angle gets another shot at the Mania shot with the SD! Rumble and immediately runs out of the place where the numbers are drawn to go fuck up Eddie backstage. After all with the number one, it'll be hard enough to win the thing and Chavo will end up being blamed anyway.

 

4) Eddie comes back and wins regardless and thereby confirms what Angle was thinking at the start of the angle... ie that Eddie is a major threat that Kurt might not be able to beat.

 

The problem with this is simply the intitial decision of why Kurt would think Eddie would be the major threat to him winning the Wrestlemania shot since Guerrero wasn't really in that realm when Kurt came back. But what do I know, I'm trying to explain WWE booking.

Why does it have to be Angle that turns, why not Eddie?

They tried to turn Eddie when he suplexed Tajiri through the windshield of the lowrider when they lost the tag team titles. Didn't work.

He just randomly comes to this conclusion in the middle of one of Eddie's low periods instead of figuring it out when Eddie was the biggest thing on the show?

Well, no. Not at all.

 

If Angle was interested in thinning out the field at the Rumble, he'd, you know, target the men that were built as the favorites for a month instead of randomly targeting some guy.

I think it's pretty silly to start moaning about the reasons for a feud that hasn't properly started yet. Who knows, maybe when Angle turns he will reveal that Eddie had fucked Angle's wife, while Kurt was in hospital and this whole thing has been a setup to get back at him.

Nothing in either man's recent history presents any reason for them to be anywhere near each other, let alone feud.
