Guest Jack Tunney Report post Posted April 14, 2002 "Finals: Tito Santana defeated Rick Martel" Cool,I was hoping Tito would get to go over Martel just once. Plus Jake Roberts pins both Bad News and DiBiase in house shows but they couldnt do a clean finish for either on PPV?

Guest Phr33k Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Wow... he's even got the results of the Aug. 2/96 show at the Molson Centre that I attended at the ripe old age of 9. That Michaels/Vader match was at LEAST ****1/2.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Damn, the wwf use to milk Maple Leaf Garden back in the day eh? A house show sometimes twice a month? Jack Tunney owned/operated the Maple Leafs and that was a HUGE market for the WWF. That's why he became President because The Maple Leaf Gardens was such a hot place. Guest mastermind Report post Posted April 15, 2002 I know. That's why people shouldn't be surprised that Hogan was way over in Toronto last month(as I predicted he would pop the city). He was a reason the wwf was so hot here back in the day. I mean Toronto actually use to have two major newspapers write weekly columns about the "sport". We still do, but one paper dropped it around 1992/93. The other still writes, but the guy(not the same as back in the day) THINKS he is smart to the business. Still doesn't even understand blading. He thinks the wrestlers use blood capsules. I clearly remember an article by a sports writer in 1992 comparing Atlanta vs. Toronto (WCW vs. Toronto/Tunney) during the World Series and that we had the superior wrestling league. It's really funny how the wwf doesn't equate us with New York City. After all the world championship was basically rooted here for the wwwf, but that damn MSG gets all the accolades for being the mecca (lol).
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Anyways...BretHart4Ever, would I know you from the brethart.net boards? I made like 5 posts on that board under this name a LONG time ago, but I doubt you'll know me. I basically came from the wrestling multimedia world. ThemeTitan, Omega, WrestleVideos2, and of course, The Smarks. I never posted here back in the day of EzBoard, but I do now.

Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 15, 2002 "WWF @ San Antonio, TX - Freeman Coliseum - July 14, 1997 Television taping: Action Jackson pinned Rod Price Rockabilly defeated Al Jackson Henry & Phinneas Godwinn defeated Jesse Jammes & Bob Holly WWF World Champion the Undertaker defeated Steve Austin and Bret Hart by pinning Hart Raw is War: 7/14/97: Steve Austin & Dude Love (Dude's debut) defeated WWF IC Champion Owen Hart & WWF European Champion the British Bulldog to win the vacant WWF Tag Team titles" Besides the Tag match and the 3way championship match, this show blew. So much that I didn't attend another WWF event until the Sep. 10, 2001 RAW. But hell, at least I got to see Owen wrestle one last time!
