Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 14, 2002 You never really see a normal clothesline combination anymore when you send the guy into the ropes and then you clothesline them, they barely do that anymore. Thanks.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Bradshaw will occasionally do that in the clothesline from hell.
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Yeah people will occasionally do it but in the 80s and early to mid 90s it was done in what seemed like every match. Thanks.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 14, 2002 No offense to you guys but 90% of the moves listed are seen a lot. Belly to Belly suplex: ANgle, Rock, Rikishi, Chuck Boston Crab: Jericho Earthquake: Rikishi Flying Elbow as finisher Splash: Albert, Bubba Camel Clutch: Scott Steiner Piledriver (Obvious reasons) Avalanche: Albert, Godfather Bearhug: Big Show Iron Claw: Cranium Crunch: what is this? Mandible claw Crossbody as finisher Million $$$ Dream: Austin and Raven occasionally Tornado Punch: Hall, Chuck (DDP does a discus clothesline) Flying Shoulder tackle: Doomsday Device: Dudley Boyz (until they broke up) Pit Stop Stalling Suplex: Fat guys walk on their opponents Just a plain chair shot: uh, every show Full nelson submission Plain dropkick: Perfect, Maven, Bob Holly My list of moves rarley seen anymore: Runnig Liger Bomb (D'Lo broke Droz's nrck with it) Splash Mountian (sit out Razor's edge) Jackhammer (Billy Gunn does a horrible version on occasion though) Texas Cloverleaf 450 splash (rarely done by Jeff Hardy) Helicopter slam
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Don't forget the Air Plane Spin. That move is rarely used. I think the last time it was used was when Roddy Piper did it to Vince McMahon on Raw back in 1996.
Guest WWF4Life Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Rhyno pulled out the airplane spin a few times before he was injured. I prefer the Sid Vicious version...is that the helicopter slam Some Guy mentioned? I haven't seen a top rope kneedrop for ages.
Guest Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Back breaker
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 14, 2002 TAKA was using a (bad) top rope knee drop before his injury. The Helicopter Slam is when you get your opponent in the Razor's Edge position, spin around and then just drop the guy (Nash used to use it in 91/92) Jericho hasn't done his double underhook into a back breaker for a while, probably bacause he's wrestling bigger guys (he might have used it on Angle on Raw before NWO though)

Guest krambigmac Report post Posted April 15, 2002 The reverse figure 4. It may have been called the inverted figure 4. That was such a cool looking move to me. The double arm chickenwing that Steamboat used to use (He made Flair submit with it.) is another move that you never see anymore. Also, a plain old spinning toe hold like the Funks(not Flash) used. Guest The Great Wesuke Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Don't remember the name for it, but the guy would put the other guys head between his legs (ala set up for a powerbomb) then would jump up in the air and come back down. I guess the effect was supposed to be that he was boxing the guys ears, or nailing the back of his head with his crotch. Tito Santana and Brutus Beefcake used to do it a lot. Clubbering. Nobody does clubbering anymore. I always wondered if the Nasty Boys and the Faces of Fear just did that to please Dusty. Dusty: Theyz CLUBBERIN'!! Thowz boyz been CLUBBERIN'! Other than that... I havn't seen a mexican surfboard in North America for awhile come to think of it. At least not in the WWF anyway.

Guest Report post Posted April 15, 2002 You never really see a normal clothesline combination anymore when you send the guy into the ropes and then you clothesline them, they barely do that anymore. Thanks. You still see it alot. And Drury why are you saying Thanks after every post you make? I don't get it. Earthquake Cranium Crunch Mandible claw Pit Stop Just a plain chair shot Plain dropkick What is the earthquake? And the Mandible, Cranium Crunch and Pit Stop were all special moves. Especially the Pit Stop which I don't think we will ever see again. That was a Nasty Boys specialty......which shows how much they suck. And we see chairshots and dropkicks every show. What are you on dude? TAKA was using a (bad) top rope knee drop before his injury. How the hell was that a bad kneedrop? Splash Mountian (sit out Razor's edge) Jackhammer (Billy Gunn does a horrible version on occasion though) Texas Cloverleaf 450 splash (rarely done by Jeff Hardy) Splash Mountain is still used in Japan alot isn't it? If not.....why? That is a sweet move. The jackhammer was a special move so they probably didn't let WWF do it alot when Goldberg was still wretling becasue they would seem like they were rippnig him off. Now that Goldberg is gone everyone probably jsut forgot about it. The Texas Cloverleaf was Dean's move so the WWF guys probably don't use it much out of repsect for him. The 450 splash is not done much in the WWF but is done all over the indies and is something cruyisers do all the damn time.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 15, 2002 the earthquake was the running splash thing earthquake did (Hence the Name) the last time i saw the reverse figure four was on Nitro when malenko, benoit, flair did the similtanious figure fours and malenko id it the reverse style. if i correctly remember what the double chickenwing is Jazz does a slightly different version of it. How about the move Eddy did sometimes the Rory Geurraro(Sp?) Special? he hasnt used that in a while.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted April 15, 2002 the Merosault (whats the real name? shooting star press) i havnt seen in a while. The Heart(sp?) Punch Crossface Chicken wing i was gonna say Cobra Clutch but Goldust is using it now. Demolition's finisher That move Bulldog did where he strwetched his opponents arms but had to release it ebfore he was pinned. and what IS up with that "Thanks" after each post. I dont think anyone gives a snowballs chance in hell about you saying thanks or anything along those lines.

Guest Dace59 Report post Posted April 15, 2002 double chickenwing is Jazz does a slightly different version of it Does an elveated version. the Merosault (whats the real name? shooting star press) i havnt seen in a while. Yes, it's a Shooting Star Press, several jobbes do them (and miss) on Metal, Shane did it once or twice (badly) and missed agains Angle at KotR. Kidman did one and missed in the match on Smackdown when he won the CW title. How about the move Eddy did sometimes the Rory Geurraro(Sp?) Special? he hasnt used that in a while. Gory Guerrero Special.. last kine I saw that was when Kane did a version to Jericho in their last man standing match. Splash Mountain is still used in Japan alot isn't it? If not.....why? That is a sweet move It's called a Black Tiger Bomb in Japan (after Black Tiger 2 AKA Eddie Guerrero) Still used loads. Lyger, and some other guys in Japan still use Lyger Bombs and Running Lyger Bombs
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I STILL cant think of Bulldogs move wear he would be pinned if he hadnt realesed it in 3 seconds. LOL.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Hennig used to put a guy's head between his legs, like he was going for a piledriver and then spin to twist the guy's neck, he doesn't use that anymore.
Guest Jack Tunney Report post Posted April 16, 2002 This isnt a big deal, but I never did like this "tapping out" stuff. It was cooler when the wrestlers would submit by shaking their head "yes" while in pain.
Guest barnacles Report post Posted April 16, 2002 There was one move Perfect did all the time, also which he did in the Royal Rumble. He would run at the opponent while they were sitting on the ground facing away from him, and flip over the opponent while grabbing their heads. Looked pretty cool, Don Muraco did it also. Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I STILL cant think of Bulldogs move wear he would be pinned if he hadnt realesed it in 3 seconds. LOL. If it's the one I'm thinking og, that would be a surfboard, which is mainly used in Mexico (and maybe Japan) these days. I see it pop up on occasion, but not exceptionally often. Guest Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I remember when a simple body slam on the floor was pushed on as life-threatening, as opposes to know wheh Jeff Hardy dives right into the floor.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I can remember a simple bodyslam or kneedrop ending a match. Don't laugh. It was the 80s. Anybody else seem confused to see Raven win the Hardcore Title with a simple DDT. I know it's his finisher, but it kind of threw me offguard in the age of jumping DDTs and 18 different versions of spinning DDTs.
Guest HBK WILL ROT IN HELL Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I cant believe nobody has said this but we never the simple atomic drop anymore. Not that im complaining. I think its quite weird as I was watching WM VI the other day and that got done heaps.

Mr. Fuji managed a guy, Meng or something I think, who's finisher was a second (or top) rope kneedrop to the neck. Didn't Jericho job cleanly to Rocky with a ddt a couple of months ago on Smackdown.....as Undisputed Champion? Also, recently on WWF classics, I saw Dino Bravo end a match with a backdrop!
