The tag team division is dead right now, but what are some teams you would like to see formed to bring it back?

TAG TEAM DIVISION

Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo

Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak

Mr. Perfect & Shawn Stasiak

The Dudley Boyz (heel w/ Heyman)

AJ Styles & Shannon Moore

The Hardy Boyz (turned heel, new offensive moves)

Raven & Perry Saturn

Al Snow & Bob Holly

Tajiri, Funaki, Kaz Hayashi, TAKA (Kaientai, any combo)

Test & Albert (you've gotta do something with them..)

Eddy Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Scotty 2 Hotty & Rikishi

There are endless combos of great matches.. the WWF just needs to start caring more. What are your ideas?

Booker T & D-Von - Testify to the greatness of the Spinaroonie, James Vandeburg/Sinister Minister as manager

Island Boys? are they smaller versions of Rikishi & Rock, same bloodline right?

I will do this with the split in mind, and only Smackdown teams, since the tag division is there.

T & A (Reunite them.  It is the best thing either has ever done)

Angle & Jericho (Main eventers, don't really go after the tag titles.  At least for awhile.  Fight Hogan & Rock most of the time.)

Billy & Chuck (Tag Champs for the time being.  Bad in the ring, funny on the mic.)

Maven & Al Snow (Good Tough Enough team.)

Tazz & Hardcore Holly (Evil Tough Enough team.)

Lance Storm & Christian (Two of the best arrogant heels in the WWF.)

Chavo Guerrero & Hugh Morrus (Why not?  They at least have history together.)

Scotty 2 Hotty & The Hurricane (Jobber team.)

Hulk Hogan & The Rock (Might as well.  This could prolong Hogan's nostalgia trip.)

They gotta do something better with Storm. He's been tagging up with Albert on the house shows. No one should have to be that close to Alberts uncovered legs.

I have a lot of ideas that I think could work. Like Eddie Guerrero & perhaps a returning Razor Ramon. They could finish with a Power & Glory type finisher. Perhaps a Scott Hall top rope falloway slam followed up by a Guerrero frog splash from the opposing turnbuckle.

Kanyon (when healthy) & Billy Kidman seem like they would fit together pretty well. I'm sure that they could come up with an innovative finisher.

I think that Lance Storm should be in a tag team. Either reform the Impact Players (which would also give Dawn Marie a place to go when she debuts) or put Storm with Al Snow to remake Snow Storm, only this time, w/out Devon Storm.

I really liked the idea of Saturn & Hugh Morrus. I hope that this doesn't get scrapped because of the injury. I think that the Eliminators 2k2 could really work.

The Dudley Boyz should be put back together. They should've never been broken up in the first place.

The Hardy Boyz, I think, simply need to dump Lita & turn heel. Although, if they must stay babyfaces, I think that them feuding with a reunited Impact Players team would make for good tv. Especially the cat fights. :)

Mike Awesome (when healthy) & Shane Helms. Awesome would be the slower moving big man & Helms would be the quick moving high flyer. It could work.

I'm glad that the Acolytes are broken up. I never thought that they were a good team.

Either reunite Edge & Christian or stick Christian with someone like Raven.

On a side note: Does anyone know where Bam Bam Bigelow is? I miss him.

Island boys - Ekmo & Kimo? are just a Samoan tag team like every team Fatu was in?  Headhunters, Headshrinkers, Samoan Swat Team?

Rule of McMahon: All foreigners are related. Every Samoan guy is related to the other one. They couldn't even have Kaientai without Yamaguchi being married to Taka's(?) teenage 'sister'.

Pairing up random midcarders with no current storyline can help the WWF Tag Team division in the long run. But the tag titles need to be built back up again first.

There seems to be this recurring problem in the WWF where they will start restoring some credibility to their IC belt (Benoit/Jericho wars) then they'll turn right around and kill it by passing it off like a hot potato to people who don't deserve it (Albert) or are not over in the least (Lance Storm).

The same goes with the tag belts which were killed when Edge/Christian were the champs and getting squashed by Taker/Kane on tv each week. Then they put the tag belts on Triple H/Austin and built them so well that everyone was going crazy when Jericho/Benoit won the belts. That RAW match would not have meant anything if no one considered Benoit/Jericho winning the tag belts a big deal. Then of course they ended up playing hot potato every week during the Invasion angle.

No one gives a rat's ass about Billy & CHuck & Rico. Their matches get no heat. They play up the gay gimmick but no one even cares enough to chant derogatory names at them. Now, maybe the WWF audience has suddenly become enlightened. But I think it says more about how dead the gimmick is.

There's no point in building up any tag teams to beat Billy & Chuck because no one would care in the first place. Like I suggested in another thread, the best thing for the tag belts is to put them on some main eventers and let them be treated as something special.

Since they are going to do the B/C v. Snow/Maven match at Backlash, go ahead and have Snow & Maven win the match. Then have them drop the belts to Angle & Jericho in a squash match the next week on tv.

Triple H will most likely be spending his time on RAW to build up Judgment Day so that leaves no major belts on Smackdown. Angle & Jericho could then be built up as the top stars on Smackdown and the tag belts be built up as the most prestigious belts on Smackdown. They could them feud with Hulk Hogan and a returning Chris Benoit. There are certainly pros and cons to a Benoit/Hogan team but I think Hogan challenging for the tag belts on a PPV could only help their prestige.

While this is going on the WWF can be building up some mid-card tag teams like the Island Boys, a reformed Edge/Christian and anyone else they choose to pair up.

After a few months of Angle/Jericho ruling the division, then build up one set of challengers to finally win the belts. Then use all the midcard teams that have been created in the past months to sustain a strong tag team division that people actually care about.

1) I don't see Hogan & Benoit teaming up.  Vince is going to milk all the ME $$$ out of Hogan he can, and he can't do that w/ him in a tag team.

2) I don't see Edge & Christian teaming up again, either.  They seem high on Edge as a single, plus E&C are too played out, as the kids like to say.

The problem isn't so much who is holding the belts, it's that there are no teams to challenge them.  If you give the belts to Angle/Jericho, you're stuck w/ the same problem - no challengers.  Sure, it'll look good to have ME's holding the belts, but unless they've got challengers, the belts are still meaningless.  Unless you feud them w/ C&B, and if you're going to do that, have C&B go over Snow/Maven at the PPV and go on to face Angle/Jericho themselves.

I love the idea of an Impact Players reunion as much as anyone, but given the reality of the split, with Credible on RAW and Storm on Smackdown, could we see the reunion of The Thrillseekers?

Yes, for those of you who may not know, long before the Impact Players, Lance Storm was tearing it up in SMW alongside Chris Jericho as a popular babyface tag team.  While they'd naturally be heels, maybe by giving them the "Canadian Supremacy/Hart Foundation" gimmick, they could get the ball rolling on the tag divison.

I heard one of the Island Boyz (Ekmo, I believe) is hurt, and will be out for about two months.  That sucks, because I've heard good things about those guys, and I know that they were due for a call up to the main roster soon.

Other ideas for teams:

RAW-

Call up Dinsmore and Conway from OVW

Mr. Perfect and Justin Credible (I like Credible a lot more than Stasiak, what can I say, I think it could work)

Heel Hardyz

SMACKDOWN:

Al Snow and Maven (good idea)

Chavo and Hugh Morrus (I dug the "New Eliminators" idea that was rumored to be Hugh and Saturn, but at least the old MIA work well together)

Island Boyz (once Ekmo is OK...stick them in a trio with Rikishi)

Thrillseekers 2K2 (I'm sure they'd give them another name though)

Except that Mr. Perfect is nothing but a jobber now.
