Ok here goes:

For a while now I've been wanting to watch the Misawa/Kawada 06/03/1994 match. But everytime I ask about it people tell me "No dude you won't appreciate the match unless you start with Tsurata/Misawa feud in 90." But when I ask for dates of these matches nobody will give me them. They try to send me off to some Supercard site where I don't even know what I'm looking for. So please guys.....can you tell me the dates of all the pertinent matches so that I can finally see and appreciate this classic!?

These are the dates the Misawa / Jumbo matches aired on TV, although most tape dealers will deal in when the matches were taped for TV. They are only a few days difference between the two though, so don't worry too much about that, just tell it to the tape dealer you get the matches from.

09/16/90 Tsuruta vs. Misawa ****1/2

04/28/91 Tsuruta vs. Misawa (Triple Crown) ****

 

I suggest you get hold of them on a compilation tape along with whatever else you can fit from the Jumbo vs. Misawa feud. Use this site... http://rasman.com/ajpw.html ... which is a list of all the *** and above matches in AJPW from the 1990's, to find tag matches and 6-mans from 90 and 91 featuring Jumbo and co. vs. Misawa and co. that are highly rated to put on your compilation.

Well, if you really want to "get it, get Choshu's Army Invades AJPW from Bob Barnett, get Lynch to make you a few comps of the 1987-1989 TV stuff, and then get weekly TV through 1996.  

 

If that isn't realistic, you need to get a basic understanding of what AJPW was about.  This would include some of the following:

 

Tsuruta v Tenyru feud with a specific look at 6/5/89

Misawa and Co v Jumbo and Co with a specific look at Kawada as Misawa's #2 guy

Misawa and Co v Kawada and Co.

 

It's a simple yet very in depth feud that needs to be viewed in order to really appreciate the true genious of it.

I'd reccomend picking up the Misawa VS Kawada history. It shows the start of the Jumbo VS Misawa feud, clips of several six man tags of Jumbo and co. VS Misawa and co., It also has about 15 minutes of 6/3/94. If you don't like that match then you won't have to shell more cash out for a bunch of comps and the full match.

don;t limit yourself just to them also, I kinf like williams vs kobnashi from early 94 just as good.  Alot of people like to ride misawas cock like it was thier car.  I am now more partial to the 80's ajpw of jumbo,hansen,brody, blah blah you know.  Anyways, hope it helped
