I just watched the WMV main event today. And man that was a damn good match.

Was that Hogan's best match ever? And Savage must've been a god in 89 to carry Hogan like that.

Also Jesse just ruled on commentary calling Hogan "the luster".

Anybody else have fond memories of this match and angle?

I don't think it was his best match ever, his match against Stan Hansen in Japan in 1990 was better IMO...

The one on the Hulkamania tape? Blech....it was just brawling.

I loved Wrestlemania 5 but don't sleep on Hogans versus Warrior. That match was pretty good considering the electricity.

Probably.  Hogan's matches with Ric Flair in 1994 might have been better, but they were less fulfilling, because of the way Hogan treated Flair at the time.

WOW,amazing that you brought this up because I just watched and wrote a rant for WWF WrestleMania V yesterday and I think either the match with Savage or the match with Warrior at WWF WrestleMania VI was his best match ever.

Thanks.

I loved it.  Even though the wrong man left with the title that night both Hogan and Savage put in one hell of an effort and it was ***1/2 IMO

The heat for that match was so amazing and lived up to the expectations that the WWF had given it.I really thought it was a great match.

Thanks.

With Hogan/Savage being a year in the making the buildup for that show was unbelievable.

If you saw Hogan/flair in house shows during 1991 youd probabaly change your minds. (although most had count-out/DQ finishes)

Post something about it in the Tape Trading forum and someone most likely will have it.
