World-1 Card for Tonight?

Recommended Posts

World-1 is holding their debut show tonight as part of a double-header with Combat Zone Wrestling, so I was wondering if anyone has an updated card for the show. I know they were supposed to have a show yesterday, but it was cancelled and I was wondering if that caused any matches to be added or changed for tonight's show? Here is the card that is listed on the World-1 site, but it hasn't been updated since the change in shows.

1. The Solution (Freelance) vs. Ricky Landell & Alex Law (WORLD-1 Dojo)

2. Rebel's Army (CZW) vs. CZW'S Mystery Tag Team (TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH)

3. Christopher Street Connection (JAPW) & Jason The Legend (UFO) vs. Guillotine LeGrande (PWF), Jack Victory (PWF), & Mega (ECWA)

4. CM Punk (ROH) vs. Rapid Fire Maldonado (IWA)

5. Low Ki (ZERO-ONE) vs. Matt Striker (Freelance)

6. Josh Daniels (Freelance) vs. Yoshihito Sasaki (ZERO-ONE)

7. Homicide (ROH) vs. Spanky

8. Extreme Horsemen Special: CW Anderson (MLW) & Simon Diamond (NWA) vs. Steven Corino (ZERO-ONE) & Justin Credible (Freelance)

9. WORLD-1 championship (Decision match): Masato Tanaka (ZERO-ONE) vs. Jerry Lynn (MLW)

Can anyone confirm this as the final card or let me know of any changes?

Actually, they had their show yesterday in Pottstown. Just check any of the big sites and you'll find results.

PWInsider had live results of the Afternoon Philly show on their site...

-Guillotine LeGrande, MANA, and Mega defeated Jack Victory, Jason the Legend, and Rapid Fire Maldonado in 13:12.

-C.M. Punk defeated Greg Spitz in 7:02.

-Christopher St. Connection defeated The Solution in 10:29.

-Homicide defeated Yoshihito Sasaki in 11:00.

-Jerry Lynn and Justin Credible defeated Low Ki and Spanky in 14:58.

-Josh Daniels and Matt Striker defeated C.W. Anderson and Simon Diamond for the PWF Tag Team titles in 12:41.

-Masato Tanaka defeated Steve Corino in 15:02.

I found those results for the show Friday night in Pottstown, anyone have the results from last night in Viking Hall? This looks like it was a great show, but I think the other two shows World-1 is holding this weekend will be just as good if not better.

PWInsider.com was doing play by play for the show yesterday so here are the results (posted on their website):

We are live at the ECW Arena (Viking Hall) in Philadelphia, PA for the Wrestling-1 World afternoon event.

- In the opening contest, The Solution defeated Ricky Landell & Alex Low after Low was hit with a powerbomb/top rope neckbreaker combo in about eight minutes.

- Greg Spitz defeated Evan Myers in four minutes with a Razor's Edge powerbomb.

- Jason The Legend & The Christopher Street Connection defeated Guillotine LeGrande, Jack Victory & Mega in twelve minutes. Jason pinned LeGrande with a reverse sitdown piledriver after dropkicking Victory off the apron, while the CSC were pounding Mega on the floor.

- CZW Tag Team Champions Rockin' Rebel & Greg Matthews defeated Mark Mest & Johnny Rock in eight minutes when the champions hit the Hart Attack on Rock.

- CM Punk defeated Rapid Fire Maldanado in six minutes with a trapped arm DDT.

- Yoshihito Sasaki defeated Josh Daniels in 14 minutes when he pinned him after turning a Torture Rack into a DDT. Both men received a standing ovation following the bout, which saw a lot of nearfalls.

- Low Ki defeated Matt Striker with the Dragon Clutch in fourteen minutes. Post-match, the two shook hands, to the applause of the crowd.

- Spanky defeated Homicide in 15 minutes by pinfall after reversing a superplex attempt into Sliced Bread #2 off the top rope (with Homicide standing on the middle rope). Spanky received a "Welcome Back" chant as he came to the ring. Lots of near falls in this match, especially by Homicide, who used a piledriver and STF, but couldn't put Spanky away, as he kept making the ropes or kicking out.

- CW Anderson & Simon Diamond defeated Steve Corino & PWF Universal Champion Justin Credible in the "Battle Of The Extreme Horsemen" in 12 minutes. The finish saw Credible hit Simon with "That's Incredible", but Anderson superkicked him down. Corino went to whip Anderson across the ring, but Anderson reversed the whip and hit the Spinebuster for the pinfall. After the match, all four men shook hands and posed together.

- Masato Tanaka defeated Jerry Lynn in 12 minutes to become the first Wrestling World-1 Heavyweight Champion. Towards the end, Lynn kicked out of the Diamond Dust, a Death Valley Driver, and a Roaring Elbow, while Tanaka kicked out of a Air Raid Crash and the Cradle Piledriver. At the end, Tanaka missed a top rope splash, and Lynn went for the cradle piledriver again, but Tanaka backdropped out and hit the Roaring Elbow again for the pin to end the show.

The show overall was not good in my opinion. Low Ki vs Matt Strikyer was good and Yoshihito Sasaki vs Josh Daniels was a good match. The rest of the card was pretty slow and boring. I would say that they had around 350 there yesterday.
