Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Right, Black Tiger was Eddy Guerrero The present incarnation is BT III, i.e. Silver King Who is/was BT II, and whatever happened to him?
Tim Cooke Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Dave O'Neill, #1 Journalists at the Smart Marks, gets another things wrong. Big surprise. Black Tiger I was NOT Eddy Guerrero. Marc Rocco was BT I. Guerrero was II. Siler King is III, though he is using that gimmick less than he did in 2001. Tim
Tim Cooke Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 BTW, it would take all of 3 minutes to look it up in a history section. Tim
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Wow Tim, you're so.....more annoying than the freaks at the Air Raid Crash boards. Since I always see Eddy referred to as Black Tiger, and not BT II (ever) I assumed he was the first. But Rollerball Rocco? Huh
Guest Black Tiger Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Dave, Tim IS one of the freaks at the Air Raid Crash boards. But the different incarnations of Black Tiger are never refered to by the number. Rocco (82-91), Guererro (93-98) and Silver King (01-now?) are just simply Black Tiger. The number is usually just used on message boards or reviews so you know which one it is. King of like how each Tiger Mask is just called Tiger Mask, but are refered to on boards as Tiger Mask II (Misawa), Tiger Mask III (Kanemoto) ect.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Thanks Man, that helps. I started lurking at Air Raid, but all they seem to do is slag everyone else off,so how and ever. It was actually EWR that set me off, because both Black Tiger and Tiger Mask have III/IV after their name. I knew the Tiger Mask history, but not the Black Tigers. Who is Tiger Mask IV, anyway?
Guest NANIWA* Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Tiger Mask IV was a student of the original Tiger Mask and The Great Sasuke, he was given the gimmick to carry on the legacy of Tiger Mask as the 4th generation and debut in 1995. There's no other info on the identity of the man behind the mask because he's never wrestled without the mask. If anyone wanted to know, here is a list of the people who have had the Tiger Mask gimmick over the years... Tiger Mask/Mask of Tiger:Satoru Sayama Tiger Mask II:Misawa Tiger Mask III:Koji Kanemoto Tiger Mask IV:???
Downhome Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 This may be reaching, but are we all 100% sure that Tiger Mask IV has never wrestled without the mask?
