LaParkaMarka Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I kind of like how impossible it is to block a punt or a FG in ESPN...it shouldn't be easy to do that at all. Maybe punts should be a little easier to block, as that's a bit more common that blocking field goals. They do the crowd reaction stuff already in ESPN. It would be nice if some of the crowd stuff was team specific. Like showing a bunch of those Raider Nation freaks crying in Black Hole or attacking hot dog vendors or something.

The coaches voice would then come to you over the headset calling out the play and a little miniscreen would show up on screen showing the play called. The game would also obscure what the coach is saying based on crowd noice.

The game would also obscure what the coach is saying based on crowd noice. That's a great idea. I'd like to see multiple announce teams covering games based on potential ratings .. Phoenix v Chicago draws two scrub announcers but Indy v Tennessee is the game of the week and gets Madden and Michaels. In franchise mode I'd like to see a local daily/weekly newspaper sports page that keeps up with the team, from breaking down the matchups the Friday/Saturday before a game and the subsequent grading of the team's performance the following monday.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I haven't gotten a late hit penalty (aside from QB/Kicker/Punter hits) on any of my EA PS2 games. I used to get them all the time on the N64/SNES versions. I also agree it should be easier to block kicks and punts. Punts are rather easy. I just line my 2 fastest guys up on the corners of the formation and have them run at the punter. One of them usually gets him. Field goals are next to impossible as everytime I get to the kicker it's JUST after he kicked it and so I draw a penalty.
