Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Jerry Lynn was an over, top teir worker while in ECW. Held the Heavyweight championship before it shut down. Jerry Lynn signs with the WWF. Gets a bit of exposure, wins the LHW title at his first try. Jerry Lynn is then thrown on Heat where he has a few good matches, but no longer gets seen on TV. He becomes stereotyped as one on those little guys who has to be stuck in their own division as to not be slaughtered by the "big dogs" Jerry Lynn moves to the WWA, a promotion with few big names, but enough talent and potential for breakout stars. Jerry Lynn is not the new F'n Show or really put into a nice program, he's in the stupid Cruiserweight tourneys and is no threat to the "big dogs" The WWF ruined Jerry Lynn's career! Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Jerry Lynn was just another pawn in Vince McMahons game of manifest destiny. What is wrong with working the Cruiserweight division? Jerry Lynn vs Scott Steiner would be a clash of styles, and probably would not be as entertaining as JL vs AJ.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Lynn/Steiner could be interesting.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 15, 2002 Personally I LOVE LHW matches and the division as a whole is very entertaining to most. But the fact is, if you are in the division, if you are that divisions CHAMPION, does it do anything at all for you? No. Look at Chavo, Hurricane, Taijiri, Kidman ( who did get a failed push) and others of that magnitude in the LHW division. Were they over? At times. Did it do anything for their career? Kept them on TV. Would they draw or be taken seriously in a main event? Absolutely not. That is my point.
