I remember watching a show on Nick in about 1989 or 1990. All the people in the audience wore visor hats with the Nick logo on them. I think there were a couple of hosts, and that it was some kind of game show where they picked people out of the audience. Someone HAS to remember this. Come on, hook me up people!! Thanks! -Jim

That (I think) would be "What Would You Do?", hosted by Marc Summers.

The ironic thing about Summers is, he's a major neat freak, so I can't believe he actually hosted shows like Double Dare, one big goopey mess.

Actually he has what is known as Obsessive compulsive disorder.

"Wild and Crazy Kids," maybe?  With Omar Gooding and Donnie Jeffcoat?

And "What Would You Do?" being mentioned brought me back to an old wrestling-related memory.

Anyway, on this one episode, they had a ring covered in whipped cream set up outside the studio, along with a referee and two wrestlers—that Mongolian guy Nickelodeon seemed to love and some other jerk.  So Marc goes into the crowd and chooses a dad and his teenage daughter to go out and WRESTLE THESE GUYS IN THE WHIPPED CREAM.  Every so often during the show, they cut to shots of the father and daughter rolling around with the two guys in the ring.

Although I didn't think much of it at the time, I'm now kinda surprised they went through with the segment.  Seemed like it could've come off a little iffy.

To answer the question posed by the title of the series ... well, if I was dad, I really wouldn't want my daughter wrestling around in whipped cream with anyone, much less take part in it. And if I was daughter, I wouldn't want to watch my dad wrestling around in whipped cream with anyone, much less take part in it.

It's not as if the show ever gave out any prizes other than T-shirts, anyhow.
