I am having troubles with the taskbar.

If I receive an instant message it goes behind my IE window,and when I click the message on the taskbar it wont go infront of my window. I have too minimize my window then type my message. Also if there is another program on the taskbar I usually right click and then close but now it won't let me. I have to bring the program up and then click the X. Any of you guys know how too help?

Right-clikc on the task bar, hit properties, and select "keep on top of other windows"
