Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 All his movies were so funny, especially now that I go back and review them. He made me laugh so damn hard and when Comdey Central replays old snl with him, I love seeing clips I missed or took for granted back then. Some of my favorite ones are his commercials about the flu medicine where he has to drink a huge tank of a cup of the medicine, and it knocks him out for the whole flu season The Columbian Coffee crystals commercial where he totally flips out on the hidden camera guy. All his massive heart attacks Shit lik that. He's still my favorite, and I thought it'd be funny if you guys just put some funny skits or lines from him you rmember so we could all have a good laugh.
Guest John Dub Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 I think everyone's gonna say Matt Foley, and with good reason, that was one of his best skits. But I loved that one episode of Morning Latte where Cherri O Terri goes: "So when did you run into Will Smith?" And Farley goes, "Over the weekend you stupid bitch!" Then there's a long pause. Also the ones were he starts talking about how gross he is (I don't bathe regularly) Then starts flying.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 15, 2002 Report Posted April 15, 2002 And Farley goes, "Over the weekend you stupid bitch!" Then there's a long pause Yeah, that was when he hosted. That was great. I paused along with them and then went into hilarity. He delivered that well. I alwaqys considered from then and all the way up til now to be a pretty lame cast, but Farley made that very watchable with his Monday Nite Football singing bit, etc.
Guest starvenger Posted April 16, 2002 Report Posted April 16, 2002 Noone, and I mean noone, falls on a table better. Not once did he ever try to break his fall...
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 16, 2002 Report Posted April 16, 2002 He took harder bumps than a lot of people in the WWF!
Guest razazteca Posted April 16, 2002 Report Posted April 16, 2002 nothing is greater than Da Bears Drinking Club "whose the better Mike...Ditka or Jordan".
Guest Dr Flintlock Posted April 16, 2002 Report Posted April 16, 2002 I was always more of a 70s era SNL type guy, but I did like the "El Nino" bit, as well as one where he fell through some thin ice, and his whole proper manner disappered and he used every 4-letter word allowed on late night NBC. "Now I'm gonna die- surrounded by you stupid piles oof dog crap!"
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 16, 2002 Report Posted April 16, 2002 I had to put that line on a CD and listen to it in my truck every now and then. As far as the bers skits, they were also great. I loved how Farley, introduced as "Todd" would violently jerk his head after talking in that hilarious accent. If Ditka fought a Hurricane, who'd win? Ah, the hurricane's name is Ditka.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted April 17, 2002 Report Posted April 17, 2002 I have the best of Chris Farley tape, and I must say that was the best five bucks I've ever spent. I like the Chippendales sketch by the way.
Guest Posted April 17, 2002 Report Posted April 17, 2002 He took harder bumps than a lot of people in the WWF! Especially in his "Motivational Speaker, Matt Foley," who lived in a van down by the river, and who amounted to JACK SQUAT!
Guest Posted April 17, 2002 Report Posted April 17, 2002 the gay beer commercial he did with Adam Sandler was hilarious also when Sandler was singing the Lunchlady song, it was a pretty funny song, but Chris Farley dancing in the lunchlady uniform was what made that bit... not only was Farley a genius, he helped a lot of other peoples careers, Sandler and of course David Spade, he was truly an unselfish performer
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 The tape is great but it leaves such great stuff out. There have rarely been any sketches EVER Farley has been in that his part alone wasn't funny. Watch Black Sheep when he is on stage and ends it with Kill Whitey! Great
Guest hardyz1 Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 From my favorite Matt Foley segment: Dad: Kids, the maid found some marijuana in your room. Daughter: She didn't smoke it, did she? "We're gonna be buddies, we're gonna be pals!! Here's you, here's Matt. There's you, there's Ma-:::crashes through coffee table:::" I don't "use soap", I don't "remove week old deodorant cakes from under my arms"... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET THE BOY MOVE IN WITH YOU!!!! (From the Chris Farley Show sketch, talking to Paul McCartney) Farley: Ummm, you remember when, ummm, you were with the Beetles? And so on...
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 LOL, The Chris Farley Show was golden. Watch his hand movements and his great nervous impression. You felt sorry for him even though he was just playing around. And when he would pull his hiar up and spazz out for looking like an idiot, I'd laugh my ass off. Great stuff
Guest Redhawk Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 The news caster skit, which was previously mentioned: "So maybe I haven't 'had sex with a woman,' and maybe I 'haven't bathed in three days.' Some people say I 'hav dried deodarant cakes under my arms.'" Now THAT shit was funny. Also, the Matt Foley skit where he steps on the bag of "THE DOG POOP! THE DOG POOP! THE DOG POOP!" Sorry, I had a Michael Cole moment there.
Guest converge241 Posted April 29, 2002 Report Posted April 29, 2002 Chris Farley guest host and becomes "El Nino" the wrestler, proclaims that is spanish for "the nino" and then gets a challenge from Jim Breuner as Ric Flair... all on the weather channel
Guest DrainYou42 Posted April 29, 2002 Report Posted April 29, 2002 The "Zagat's" sketches with Sandler are great, Farley's facial expressions are what make it so funny, it's on the best of Adam Sandler tape, for those who are interested.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 Yeah, he did have a lot of good stuff on the Sandler tape. "He's a clean boy! WASH YOUR OWN DAMN SHEETS...FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!"
Guest goodhelmet Posted May 1, 2002 Report Posted May 1, 2002 The tape is great but it leaves such great stuff out. There have rarely been any sketches EVER Farley has been in that his part alone wasn't funny. Watch Black Sheep when he is on stage and ends it with Kill Whitey! Great Yeah, the Kill Whitey line was excellent. I don't really miss Farley that much though. I was a bigger fan of Phil Hartman and wish he had a larger library for me to enjoy. I feel like I'm stuck with Houseguest.
Guest imajackoff? Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Of course Matt Foley is a fav. I also loved the sketch where he was on the Japanese game show and he didnt know Japanese. Too Funny. Farley was one those guys that always made me laugh, even when the material he was given was sub par (c'mon.. his movies were awful). He was one of those entertainers that you knew you would miss as soon as you heard he was gone.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 Was he funny in the Norm McDonald film I think it was called "Dirty Work" about the revenge company and Farley was the guy who had his nose bit off? Just wondering, cuz I never saw it.
