The "anti" nwo

Recommended Posts

Somebody somewhere, possibly on another discussion board, was talking about the suspicious convenience of The Undertaker backing down from Triple H and accepting this "#1 contender" business, and Vince McMahon wanting to make Hogan the #1 contender at Backlash, and the normally very ego-driven Rock suddenly playing selfless second banana sycophant and shilling for Hogan to get a title match...

It's all so suspicious, it makes you wonder if something's up.

And that's when I hit on this little Fantasy Booking idea.

It's a conspiracy to set up Hogan.  But who's in on it?  The answer is all of them.  Triple H, The Rock, and the Undertaker.  That's a Smackdown wrestler, a Raw wrestler, and a world champion who can go to either show.  An inter-brand consortium of elite wrestlers, the best of the best.  Who have out NWOed the NWO.

They all recognized the threat to their jobs and livliehoods that the "poison" known as the nWo posed, so they decided to band together, in secret, to protect themselves and the rest of the company [and specifically their "spot" within it], and their plan has worked to perfection, they gloat.

They divided the nwo (Hogan turned away from them) and then dismantled it, with both Brand-Presidents Flair and McMahon playing into their hands (Nash's suspension, Hogan being given the title shot).

They have saved everybody from the poison.  They are the antidote.  The Anti-NWO if you will.  And they come out and declare that they are going to eradicate all vestiges of the NWO from the WWF world.

And here's where it gets interesting...(at least I hope)

See, it won't be enough to just beat down the official nwo members like Hall and X-Pac.  But former members (Hogan) and potential members, people who might be "hidden" members of the NWO on either Brand roster.

Sound vague?  Of course it is, that's the whole idea.

The Rock, The Game, and The Undertaker turn heel almost overnight and start destroying anyone who they think might have anything to do with the nwo, which basically means they'll beat down anybody who they don't like or they think might be good enough to challenge them for one of their spots (especially Triple H's Undisputed World Title).

They use the specter of the poisonous nwo to discredit anyone against them and, more importantly, keep both rosters divided and thus neutralized, so that they can continue to pick off all their old enemies and potential new threats one by one.

So, how's that sound to all of you?

Sounds like the book LesnarFanatic talked about in the WWF folder. (good book, just so you know) In "Animal Farm", Napoleon gets rid of anybody he doesn't like by sicing (spelling???) the dogs on them and having them confess to being in league with the deposed leader, Snowball. Good idea, though.
