Guest Bosstones Fan Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Ok, I figure maybe somebody can help me out: I'm running Win ME on my comp, with Windows Media Player v7.0. The problem is that I can't get my Windows Media Player to play any files that have a .avi extension. Every time I try, I get an error saying "No combination of filters could be found to render the stream." Can anyone give me some ideas on how to fix this? I've tried enabling all the file types in the Options menu, but that doesn't help. I'm at my wit's end. Thanks in advance to anyone who might know.... Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I'm not sure Media Player can play avi files. You'll need a Divx player.

Guest alfdogg Report post Posted April 16, 2002 If I download the one that says DivX Pro ad-supported, that plays .avi files, right?
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted April 16, 2002 they all do. It's specifically made to play .avi files. I'm pretty sure.
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted April 16, 2002 if you download the divx codec, windows media player will play your divx .avi files.
