Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Ok. I will ask this question. What do you think will gross more money? Scorpion King or Spider-Man? Put me down for Spider-Man.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 19, 2002 With all the publicity the movie is getting. It should be around $ 90-100 million when all is said and done.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted April 19, 2002 It's a tough call because they will both be high. From the looks of things Spiderman is gonna suck, but if it's good I agree and say Spiderman too.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Spidey is reminding me alot like "Gozilla" HUGE HYPE and it tanks because it was so absurb...Why people like him? Batman and Superman and even FLASH are so much superior than Spider Man. S.M Opens-82.2 Million Week 2-29 million total gross-210 Million TSK Opens-37.6 Million Week 2-24.8 Million Total Gross-160 Million.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Well Batman and Superman are the top two super heroes so they are considered superior to all the others. So why even bother comparing super heroes to them. Just because Batman and Superman are the top two it doesn't mean that all other super heroes are worthless. But i don't see anything wrong with Spidey. He has a good backstory, interesting "powers", good stories and good villians. I think a big reason why alot of people like him is because of his sarcastic humor. Well Spiderman has a much better director then american Godzilla had. Spiderman also has alot more to work with then Godzilla. Don't get me wrong i like Japan Godzilla but there is very little material in a Godzilla movie. The Japanese studio some how stretched the material into many watchable movies. The american version just tried making a Godzilla movie into something it could never be. I'd say Spider-Man's popularity stems from him being the first "everyman" superhero. Despite his powers, he's always supposed to have been relatable to the general public.
