WORLD-1 HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Masato Tanaka or Jack Victory vs. CM Punk Shows look pretty good. It is odd running three shows in PA though. I can't see that helping them draw at all. Nice to see Fujita and Hidaka on the shows. What does "Masato Tanaka or Jack Victory" mean in the Heavyweight title match on the third card? Victory isn't even listed to wrestle for the title previous to that.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 Nice looking card, although I would've liked to have seen a C.M. Punk vs. Low Ki match, C.M. Punk and Los Maximos vs. Homicide, Low Ki, and Spanky should be great. Masato Tanaka is defending the World-1 title in Tokyo, Japan against Jack Victory on March 5. Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted February 25, 2004 from http://www.world1wrestling.com/ TANAKA VS. PRESIDENT VICTORY IN TOKYO? Press Release: Philadelphia, PA You read it correctly, Jack Victory has announced from the Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 office in Philadelphia, PA that he has nominated himself as Masato Tanaka's first challenger for the WORLD-1 crown. Victory told the Japanese press that he and his assistant "Nick Rogers" wanted Tanaka to prove himself against the top of the WORLD-1 corporate structure. Matchmaker Steve Corino has never heard of Nick Rogers but told World1Wrestling.com and ZeroOneUSA.com that Victory has the power to choose challengers for the champions. Corino also said that Victory should get a title shot due to his 22 years in the sport and him never getting a PWF title shot. So it is now official, Masato Tanaka will defend the WORLD-1 championship in his V1 defense against Jack Victory at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on March 5th. Guest JustinCredible2k Report post Posted February 25, 2004 Well....I hope Tanaka can carry Victory. Or maybe it wont be as bad I think it'll be. In other words, I think Tanaka will retain the title.
