Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 16, 2002 The question is how can Booker T be lower on the Raw poll than X-Pac and Bradshaw...and Regal and Spike...and Bubba and...well...everyone else whos getting a ppv match at Backlash...cause Booker isn't. Oh well...at least he can't lose.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I think it must be a "Test" of Booker's patience. Hahaha! Man, I'm funny. They can't think of anything else to do with Booker.

Guest notJames Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Booker said it best last night, "Man, I'm getting too old for this shit!" I think Booker's vignette with Goldust could be the start of his face turn. The ending was the kicker. And really, isn't that what everyone's been clamoring for? And if it's true, they're going about it the right way, nice and slow. Unless of course, he means he wants to leave the Fed or retire, which is fine by me, too. Better to bow out gracefully than keep getting misused, I guess. Guest Risk Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Maybe they are giving him the Tom Zenk/Mark Henry push ™, hoping he will get fed up and quit so they don't have to buyout his contract.
Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted April 16, 2002 First it was test. then bossman. now goldust?!?!? I loved him with Test. I found their relationship very touching, especially considering this is professional wrestling. Oh well...at least he can't lose. Guess Jericho's gonna starting losing to Tajiri any week now, right? Maybe they are giving him the Tom Zenk/Mark Henry push ™, hoping he will get fed up and quit so they don't have to buyout his contract. He teamed with Goldust and won. I'm sure Booker is so upset about that. Good God ... you people can act like such morons. But for some of you, I suppose it'd be a little hard not to. Um...Booker has yet to win a match on ppv except for the initial invasion ten man tag where Austin defected. He ISN'T on the card...and Bradshaw is... what exactly is your point there? Oh and...don't flame people on the board. Consider this a warning.

He ISN'T on the card...and Bradshaw is... what exactly is your point there? Tajiri is on the card and, right now, Jericho isn't. Tajiri is nowhere near Jericho right now. I love Booker, but is it really that big a deal he's not on the card yet? He'll probably tag with Goldust on Heat or something, anyway. Oh and...don't flame people on the board. Consider this a warning. What's wrong with saying I think some of you are stupid? Not tryin' to stir the pot ... I truly believe that. Saying he's lower than Spike Dudley is, to me, extremely silly. Spike is being made out to be an underdog who got lucky. Like when a lot of people here were saying that Rob Van Dam was being "pulled" because he was opening up the show all the time. And people get insulted here all the time; why am I warned? Are you mad about the "Best posters" thread? Oh, you're so funny, idiot-fag. I wasn't trying to be. I really thought it was touching. And turning the tables and using "idiot-fag" against me?! I dunno ... not sure I'll be able to contend with your brilliance. ???

Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Points taken One Bad Apple. Although I am still waiting for the response I asked for in that thread. There were a few posts I wanted to respond to in that topic. I usually like to do 'em all at once, and I'm really not in the mood to right now. If you'd really like to know, they're probably around the end of the third page or the start of the fourth. Honestly, though, you're usually pretty okay. A few of your opinions are rather inane and sometimes you come off as a little full of yourself ... but, overall, I don't think you're as awful as some others here. Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I'm thinking it *MIGHT* turn into a Booker T. vs Goldust feud. Booker got screwed last week and Goldust said on Raw he saw "a superstar" or whatever he said. Reminded me of his feud with Hall when he was Ramon.
Guest Vyce Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I'm guessing he gets the crappy tag partners because otherwise he could get, you know, over with the crowd. And we can't have that.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Actually, I liked the Booker/Test team, too. They both worked pretty well with each other and seemed to genuinely get along great on-camera.
Guest alfdogg Report post Posted April 17, 2002 The main problem with T & T is that Test was made to look the more dominant member.
Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Why does everyone hate goldust so much?? He's worked some pretty decent matches so far since he came back. With a little character tweaking I think he can be a pretty decent mid-carder.

Reminded me of his feud with Hall when he was Ramon. Nah, this isn't anywhere near Ramon vs Goldust. Goldust isn't anywhere near as out there and envelope-pushing as he was in 1996. And that's the problem. Goldust doesn't work half-assed. If they don't have the balls to go all the way out there with it, and push the envelope, they shouldn't bother with it at all. There's no reason for there to be a Tamedust.
Guest Nater Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Booker is a great Face.. and would have been a good Heel if they didnt have him doing the most moronic things. If a wrestler is scripted to do dumb things as a face and gets moched by Bradshaw or Test or whoever, that guy should get pounded.. specially if they are currently feuding with Austin. damn logic.. nevermind
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I agree. The dumb shit is killing his character. I think he will turn on Goldust in a week or two and go face.
Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted April 20, 2002 he's not flaming, it's a running joke from the general chat folder... Keeping your buddy's seat warm again? And of course it's a running joke ... only type you do. I'm guessing he gets the crappy tag partners because otherwise he could get, you know, over with the crowd. And we can't have that. If they didn't want him to get over with crowd, he wouldn't be on Raw every week; he'd be on Heat or in dark matches. And he would've been losing feuds to Dallas Page and Rikishi instead of Rock and Austin. Granted, he should've at least looked like a threat to those guys, but I'd attribute that to incompetent writing before I would to sabotage. Actually, I liked the Booker/Test team, too. They both worked pretty well with each other and seemed to genuinely get along great on-camera. Hey, remember how Test would always be the only one to vote for Booker in those Alliance ballots? I always felt bad for Booker, 'cause no one else ever did ... but by the same token, it was nice how Test tried to cheer up his buddy after he found out the results. I also thought it was cool that they were both portrayed as self-centered jackasses, but still seemed to care about each other. Like when Test saved Booker by booting RVD out of the Alliance Battle Royal, but was dumped from behind by Booker to end the match. Now, most heels would've started fighting, but that wasn't the case here. Test looks a little upset, so Booker thumps his chest as if to tell him, "Just business—nothing personal." Test reciprocates the gesture, kinda saying, "I know ... good luck, my friend." And I'm aware that this all sounded a little ... "iffy." Why does everyone hate goldust so much?? I like Goldust. Sure, the outfit makes his winkle-dink look a bit on the small side, but he's still okay in my book. Booker is a great Face.. and would have been a good Heel if they didnt have him doing the most moronic things. If he wasn't doing moronic things, he wouldn't have much of a character. I always felt that Test/Booker friendship was one of the better things about the Alliance because while everyone else was taking potshots at each other, those two always had each other's back no matter what. That's something that wrestling seems be sorely lacking these days, especially since the split happened.
