The question is how can Booker T be lower on the Raw poll than X-Pac and Bradshaw...and Regal and Spike...and Bubba and...well...everyone else whos getting a ppv match at Backlash...cause Booker isn't.

I think Booker's vignette with Goldust could be the start of his face turn. The ending was the kicker. And really, isn't that what everyone's been clamoring for? And if it's true, they're going about it the right way, nice and slow.

 

Unless of course, he means he wants to leave the Fed or retire, which is fine by me, too. Better to bow out gracefully than keep getting misused, I guess.

Tajiri is on the card and, right now, Jericho isn't.  Tajiri is nowhere near Jericho right now.  I love Booker, but is it really that big a deal he's not on the card yet?  He'll probably tag with Goldust on Heat or something, anyway.

What's wrong with saying I think some of you are stupid?  Not tryin' to stir the pot ... I truly believe that.  Saying he's lower than Spike Dudley is, to me, extremely silly.  Spike is being made out to be an underdog who got lucky.  Like when a lot of people here were saying that Rob Van Dam was being "pulled" because he was opening up the show all the time.

There were a few posts I wanted to respond to in that topic.  I usually like to do 'em all at once, and I'm really not in the mood to right now.  If you'd really like to know, they're probably around the end of the third page or the start of the fourth.

 

Honestly, though, you're usually pretty okay.  A few of your opinions are rather inane and sometimes you come off as a little full of yourself ... but, overall, I don't think you're as awful as some others here.

Nah, this isn't anywhere near Ramon vs Goldust.

 

Goldust isn't anywhere near as out there and envelope-pushing as he was in 1996.  And that's the problem.

 

Goldust doesn't work half-assed.  If they don't have the balls to go all the way out there with it, and push the envelope, they shouldn't bother with it at all.  There's no reason for there to be a Tamedust.

If a wrestler is scripted to do dumb things as a face and gets moched by Bradshaw or Test or whoever, that guy should get pounded.. specially if they are currently feuding with Austin.

If they didn't want him to get over with crowd, he wouldn't be on Raw every week; he'd be on Heat or in dark matches.  And he would've been losing feuds to Dallas Page and Rikishi instead of Rock and Austin.  

 

Granted, he should've at least looked like a threat to those guys, but I'd attribute that to incompetent writing before I would to sabotage.

I also thought it was cool that they were both portrayed as self-centered jackasses, but still seemed to care about each other.  Like when Test saved Booker by booting RVD out of the Alliance Battle Royal, but was dumped from behind by Booker to end the match.  Now, most heels would've started fighting, but that wasn't the case here.  Test looks a little upset, so Booker thumps his chest as if to tell him, "Just business—nothing personal."  Test reciprocates the gesture, kinda saying, "I know ... good luck, my friend."  

 

And I'm aware that this all sounded a little ... "iffy."

You know what? I totally agree with you. I always felt that Test/Booker friendship was one of the better things about the Alliance because while everyone else was taking potshots at each other, those two always had each other's back no matter what. That's something that wrestling seems be sorely lacking these days, especially since the split happened.
