Guest Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Man, a lot of people are gonna need a change of undergarments if the heels somehow win... ...though that line of thinking will quickly give way to "so (guy who didn't take the fall) didn't take the fall, hmmmmm?" Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 16, 2002 It honestly wouldn't shock me if the SuperJobbers won the match. Of course it would be the cheapest and flukiest win ever and the HHH's would get clean pin falls the next week.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 16, 2002 The heels will win if Hunter's close, personal friends in Germany come to the ring and destroy them, earning a DQ
Guest Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Man, this board is just depressing...doesn't anyone have any optimism whatsoever? And maybe I'm a little disillusioned or something, but I was under the impression that...you know...Jericho and Angle were heels. Heels cheat. That's why they're heels. (And no, I NEVER saw Triple H hit somebody with a sledgehammer to win a match before...)
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I'm not gonna post anything. Let's just say the word intense was used copiously, then I bitched about HHH. Now that's intense. (That should be HHH's new catchphrase, actually.)
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Personally I see them going with the face miscommunication ending and the heels getting the win and then getting beat down.

Hes an idiot. Triple H does hold people down but Angle is not being held down at all. Even if he was, that doesnt mean it has to be hHh.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 16, 2002 I say they pull the old HARD sell and have Hogan and HHH just get it on in a intense battle for the ages! Angle tries to break it up and riles up the crowd by hitting hogan or HHH, But here comes Edge! Here comes Edge! Here comes Edge! Spear! Spear! Spear! And Jericho just takes the clean pin before all of this happens and whines back to the lockerroom, never to be seen again until next Thursday. That's what will happen if youask me. I dunno, I just feel like some people take wrestling too darn seriously sometimes...maybe I'm foolishly optimistic, but I believe that if people hang in there, they'll eventually get the pushes that they deserve. The WWF seems to love the guys that "pay their dues", regardless of other factors. My favorite for a long time was Owen Hart and he paid a ton of dues, finally getting rewarded with a big push in 1997 as I-C Champ for most of the year. And if fate hadn't interceded, perhaps he would have gotten a big push all over again in 1999.

Now we'll never know if Owen could cut it in the mains.

Hard to say...I think miscommunication on the face team is almost a given, but the question is whether it'll lead to a heel win or just a non-finish. They seem to have the WWF Title situation mapped out up to Judgement Day(Hogan at Backlash, either Austin or Taker at JD), so given the pattern, either Jericho or Angle is likely to get the title shot at King Of The Ring. And a pinfall in the tag match would be a big boost to either guy, no matter WHO gets pinned and even if it's not totally clean. I mean, say what you will, but Jericho or Angle getting a pinfall on Hogan would be a big thing under any circumstances. Triple H is probably winning at Backlash though, so he's more likely to take the fall. A Jericho pin on Triple H would be a bigger deal than an Angle pin on Triple H, IMO(since Angle's pinned Triple H twice in the past few months, whereas Jericho's only pinfall on HHH was the title win two years ago that got reversed). Hopefully Edge stays out of it, at least until after the match.

Guest Report post Posted April 16, 2002 ::cups hand around mouth:: Kane! Edge! MARK HENRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether the 'net crowd chooses to think so or not, people consider Kane an upper-level guy. As far as Edge goes, he's gonna need a lot more help if people are gonna consider him an upper-level guy...he's gotten some big wins here and there but no one chooses to remember them. And I don't know what to tell you if you're taking a website error so seriously...

(I realize your whole gimmick is ignoring any non-Angle crowd reactions/in-ring talent/promo ability, but oh well...) It doesn't "have" to be Angle, it just happens to BE Angle. It's not the end of the world when one of your favorite guys loses a match. Pssst, it's all SCRIPTED. << << I am in awe of your maturity level. Wishing injury on someone? Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 You know, I read somewhere that the WWF is seriously considering having Angle redux the Patriot gimmick, only have him come down from the rafters for each match. You know, I'm not even gonna touch that one except to say that, given just what I've seen in this thread, Anglesault will probably take it 100% seriously. Hey, I heard through the grapevine that they're bringing back Essa Rios to feud with Angle because Angle stole Essa's moonsault! (Sorry, sorry...I'll be good.) Well, I did wish Jericho to break HHH's quad again when he was attacking him with the sledgehammer... and sometimes I wish a bus to run over my ex-girlfriend. Heh... but that's another subject. Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted April 17, 2002 As far as Edge goes, he's gonna need a lot more help if people are gonna consider him an upper-level guy...he's gotten some big wins here and there but no one chooses to remember them. Why does it have to be Angle? And Maybe they should take it as a hint that no one remembers the wins. So ... if the fans cheer the guy ... but don't remember his big wins (and that may or may not in this case) ... he should stop being pushed? If the crowd doesn't recall any of a wrestler's big victories, I'd say the blame should rest almost completely on the shoulders of the announcing and creative teams. I am in awe of your maturity level. Wishing injury on someone? That's kinda cold, isn't it? So is systematically destroying someone's credability... It's completely reasonable to wish injury upon Edge because he goes out there and does his what he's told! Yup, uh-huh! The point is, you don't know what tomorrow will bring. if you keep putting something off for no real reason, the person in question may NEVER get their shot. Two-time WWF Champion Kurt Angle's never had his shot? If that's true, then I'm sure there are oodles of guys on the roster who'd like to "never get their shot" as long as they end up like that. Actual guys who haven't ever been given a shot are people like Tommy Dreamer and Funaki and Justin Credible. And ya know what? Since we never know what the next day holds, I think the WWF should start pushing these three to the top of the card. I mean, Dreamer could die of some strange brain-bacteria before King of the Ring, so something's gotta be done right this minute! Probable Anglesault Response: "I'm sure Kurt will be jobbing to them soon enough." Seriously, though, I don't know what kind of trauma you've been through in your life to invest so much emotion in one wrestler, but it's really unhealthy... Heh. Dreamer is near crippled, Funaki is a little foreigner (Never get a break) and Credible really isn't that good. Are we overlooking that it's MARK HENRY they are pushing?
