Guest Coffey Report post Posted March 4, 2004 Just curious. It's a free download, doesn't have too many system requirements and it's fun. It also has a lot of replay value. It's a bitch to buy stuff though. You have to constantly play to both build up your rank and money so that you can buy shit to get more powerful. So, anyone here play? Jer 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 I play. My name on there is Clockzor. It's really simple, just choose 1, 2 or SS and hold space to change your shot's power, and use left and right to move back and forth and up and down to change your angle. But yeah, everything on the website is in such bad Engrish it's hard to understand. "The accounts which it applies already is in the process of using.". Tehe. Guest Coffey Report post Posted March 4, 2004 The "SS" or "Supershot" can only be used once every four turns. It also has a lot of delay, so make sure that you're connecting with it and actually doing damage with it. Each vehicle has a different SS. Obviously, 2 shot has more delay than 1 shot. Using powerups and taking more seconds to aim and shoot increase delay too. The goal is to use as minimum delay as possible on shots for your first couple of shots. It'll give you more turns than the person that you're shooting at. Thus, you get ahead in damage, and you can finish them off with either an SS or a powered-up 2 shot. Each vehicle is weak to something. For example, the "JD" cake machine has a shield that gradually regenerates. The "Mage" has an SS that does does a lot of damage if the vehicle you're shooting at has a shield. So, if you're using the Mage and you hit a JD with your SS, it should do about 500 damage or so. Wind affects the shots as well. Especially the Boomerang vehicle. Each little arrow at the top of the powerbar represents about 1/4 of the map. That's with a 45 degree angle and zero wind. You have to adjust your shot depending on both. The top left of the screen are the elements that are coming. Thor's Hammer is the big blue circle that shoots lazers. Whatever damage is done it levels up the Hammer to increase it's damage. Aduka two shot levels it up by itself. That's why sometimes you'll see games called "Aduka 2 shot & SS only." The top right of the screen is the powerups. As mentioned earlier, they add delay. The blue clock that some items give you decrease item delay. The brown clock decreases shot delay. You can use the items by hitting the appropriate "F" button, such as F1 or F3, or by clicking them with your mouse. You select your powerups before the game starts on the ready screen where you select your vehicle. Most servers turn off the powerups except for teleport, dual shot and dual +. Teleport shoots like a normal shot except wherever it lands is where your vehicle teleports to. It's very useful to get out of Double Kill situations and to get out of holes. The dual shot just shoots your shot twice. The dual shot plus shoots both your 1 and 2 shots one after the other. Score games are the most played. First team who gets their score to zero loses. You can also win by having all of one team off the map at the same time. Sometimes you'll see an occasional solo game. It's basically the same thing as score except that once you die, you just watch until the game ends. It does have a "slot system" so that you have something to do while waiting. You can win money or items to drop into the game. Some you drop on enemy heads to do damage. Some you drop on teammates to give them health or whatever. The bottom left is your delay. When your name is at the top, it's your turn. You can tell when your turn is coming up this way and how much delay your last shot cost you. Your delay goes up by 10 with every second it takes you to shoot. If you do a dual shot with a 2 shot, your delay will be around 1500...which means you're not taking a turn for a long time. If there is anything else anyone needs to know, just ask.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 I'd like to try it out, but as you probably know, I'm on a 56k modem. Would the game even be playable for me?
