Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted April 17, 2002 - Raw is Owen - The Rocks reaction while Hogan flexed at Mania - The Canadian Chris Connection outsting the Two Man Power Trip gave me chills....must be my inner Canuck - New Jack returning to ECW in the fall of 2000 at the Hershey Center in Mississauga, ON. I was there and when I heard the gunshot the crowd went insane more then anything I've ever seen. I know it's New Jack and I know he sucks but I really don't care. - Anytime I watch old tapes of Giant Baba, Gary Albright or any Japan star that's gone. I didn't know them and I don't doubt there are bigger fans, but I never in a million years thought that I'd get emotional while watching a match with a 7 foot tall Japanese guy that looks like an alien. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 ECW Heat Wave 1998. That should say enough. The ending had me in tears, and it was the first time I watched ECW. THAT is good booking. THAT is why Heyman is the Booking God. THAT is why I will forever be an ECW mark. The WWF: Desire video also made me smile. Me and my mother were both watching it, and we've been watching since I was really little (back when Piper and Bad News Brown were feuding), and we just looked at each other, nodded, and then I stopped recording when it was over. I saw a compilation of the Raven/Dreamer feud once. I was hooked by just the 2nd time they wres...er...FOUGHT, and the final match, the Loser Leaves Town match...Dreamer's only significant victory over Raven...THAT was another moment. Austin winning his first WWF title. Foley winning his first WWF title.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Hogan/Goldberg and Hogan/Rock sent shivers down my spine. The first Creed Desire video with all the clips rocked. Watching Foley's head gashed and gushing on Raw and then Smackdown him returing Cactus Austin's return after the big injury Taker's presence at Judgement day 00. He looked so different, he had a huge enigma to him. Jericho/Benoit vs austin/HHH Hardyz vs Austin/HHH DDP's debut in WWF Raw is Owen
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Savage/Warrior Retirement Match at Wrestlemania VII. 'Nuff said. If that didn't get you at least misty(and I am a guy, yes), then you aren't a fan.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 18, 2002 What happened at Heatwave 98? Is it only one of those things that you understand if you're an ECW mark?
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Did anyone mention the Radicalz debut. It was so suspenseful being on the net, and still not really having a good idea what was happening prior to it.
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 These are just really more mark outs than anything else. I remember some mega Austin mark out moments with some of my friends over the years... - Beating Vince in a cage match - Beating Taker in a first blood match - Winning the 2K1 Royal Rumble - Showing up at Backlash 2K Other random ones... - Mick winning the title on the first Raw of 1999. - Kurt winning the title at No Mercy 2K - Shane going through glass (And being there live) at KOTR 2K1. - Shane falling from the side of the titantron, SummerSlam 2K. - Foley flying from the cell at KOTR '98 - Taker at Judgment Day 2K - Benoit winning the title at Fully Loaded 2K - Angle putting Nick Patrick in the Ankle Lock at SummerSlam, 2K1. I ordered the encore of the show because I was having a BBQ earlier that night. It's about 1:30 am and I'm screaming "Break his ankle!" at the TV (This was such a marktastic summer for me) Hell, the show was so great I remember screaming when Shane screwed the APA and Spike in a six man tag. Among others I may have forgotten...
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Alot of the dramatic moments for me have already been mentioned in this thread, but I think one of my all time favorite moments and most dramatic moments was the night after No Way Out 2000, on RAW, they played a tribute video for Mick Foley with highlights of his career, with the song, "I Will Remember You" playing. It was just so perfect and really got me choked up. Other moments that have been dramatic for me are Shawn Michaels winning his first WWF Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania 12, the ending of the Randy Savage-Ultimate Warrior match at Wrestlemania 7, Mick Foley winning his first Heavyweight Title on RAW, the Owen Hart Tribute RAW, the Kid Rock WWF Desire video, and the last ever WCW Nitro (especially Ric Flair's opening speech and the Sting-Ric Flair main event match and after-match embrace). Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Warrior/Hogan WM VI- This is the one match that I can never forget. I was just a poor, 10 year old Warrior fan grasping at the hope that Warrior could end Hulkamania. When Hogan kicked out of the Gorilla Press, I was tearing up... and the sequence after that leading to the pinned happened so fast that I don't even think I saw the pin the first time. I looked up and Warriors music was playing and he had his hands raised. Unbelievable moment for me. Your joy was my pain. I was devastated that Hogan lost the match and I remember the heated debates everyone would engage in at the time. Savage/Warrior Retirement Match at Wrestlemania VII. 'Nuff said. If that didn't get you at least misty(and I am a guy, yes), then you aren't a fan. I didn't see that Wrestlemania because I got in a fight at school and was grounded for a month. I missed Wrestlemania and Holyfield versus Buster Douglas (or was it Foreman?). I can still remember sitting in my room feeling heartbroken as I listened to the announcers describe the Ultimate Warrior's entrance. I think that was the worst punishment I ever received simply because I missed Wrestlemania. I snuck down the stairs quite a few times so that I could hear parts of it. Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 When i first saw the thread i instantly thought of the hell in the cell match with UT,Angle,HHH,Austin,HHH, and Rakishi. Everyone was bleeding and only 2 men were in the ring. They cut the camera to Rock lying in the corner and then they cut the camera to Austin lying in the corner. Then they panned away the camera and showed the 2 of them staring at each other and they both got up slowly and and they were face to face and they just went at it. I marked out for that, and i marked out a few minutes later when Angle won it. And i marked out earlier when Rakishi went flying off the cage. I loved that match. Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I forgot about Savage vs Warrior. That had to be one of the most dramatic matches of all time. I was a huge piper fan around WM3, so seeing his "farewell" match was really emotional at the time. The 2 Iron man matches were really emotional for me as well. I was REALLY pissed after the first one because I can't stand Shawn Michaels. So pissed, that I started watching WCW a lot more. The second one, when "American Bad Ass" played with a little over a minute to go, that was a pretty emotional moment. To see the taker come back with one minute left in a tied Iron Man match.
