Coliseum video question

Recommended Posts

Guest MillenniumMan831

Does anyone have this video?  I know The Bushwhackers are on the cover and it's an hour, but does anyone know what kind of stuff is on it?

Thanks.

BTW, I bought the WWF's Home Video's Funniest Moments and it was less than stellar, although the small, yet entertaining Monsoon/Heenan (Busch Gardens, Old West Movie) clips made it a nice surprise and boosted my opinion of the video.

WWF Home Video Funniest Moments

It's got a LOT of Rock footage . . . Rock loses his voice, Rock drops his sunglasses, Rock Bottom on dog poop, Rock imitates Rikishi, UT, HHH, ect., Rock/Jericho verbal exchange, Rock & Booker Wee, ect.

Clips of D-X --- Nation impression, DX invades streets of NY, DX X-mas, State of the Union Address, ect.

Clips of Austin --- Austin takes over Titan Towers, Austin sings to Vince, ect.

Venis / Kaientai

Old School Stuff --- Butcher Vachon Wedding / Sid screws up his IYH interview (HAHA!) / SummerSlam sign falls during Rude interview (No "F*ck it" though) / the aforementioned Monsoon & Heenan skits / Bushwhackers in an "intimate apparell" store (guilty pleasure segment) / Clips of Larry Fling with The Huckster & Nacho Man

That's all I can remember, hope this helps.

I know Coliseum released one like that back in the early 90's, which I think did have the Bushwhackers on the cover.  It looked pretty lame though.

The one I have (2002) is available at FYE and maybe some Best Buys.  It's a tough call to recommend it.  If it's on sale, then go for it.

I have the original WWF Funniest Moments tape... and yea, it sucks.

It is hosted by Mooney and Hayes, which is actually the good part, because I always find these guys trying to act is pretty funny. I think Mooney hits Hayes with a pie in the last segment.

Other stuff includes...

The Bushwhackers buying lingerie!

Jimmy Hart dressed as Peggy Sue!

The Bushwhackers eating!

Genius gets his wig torn off!

Hulk Hogan trains with Mean Gene Okerlund!

Roddy Piper dresses Brother Love like a baby!

That's about all I remember... or care to.

Avoid it, unless you really like campy early ninties stuff.

I recieved it as a gift from an aunt on x-mas back in 90 or 91. I think every wrestling fan gets his/her fair share of crappy wrestling merchanides around the holiday season.

Anyway, it was a two tape package that also included WWF's Greatest Hits which had:

Mr. Perfect v Kerry Von Erich, Rick Martel v. Marty Jannetty (Survivor Series dark match), Tugboat/Hogan v. Bravo/Earthquake, and Warrior v. Dibiase.

So every match except for Martel-Jannetty were matches off of TV that I already had anyway.

Memo to me, dont buy either of the tapes mentioned in this forum ever so i dont go into a mental state of disbelief of how shitty coliseum videos were at times.

I wonder if there are more good or more bad WWF Colliseum Home Video tapes.

Thanks.

I like them all.  I don't expect much when watching a coliseum video but usually get surprised with a few good matches.

Coliseum Video is cool for nostalgia. If you're watching it for good matches...then you have another thing coming.

Yup, I have the tape.

It includes clips of The Gooker, big bossman beating up heenan and warrior beating up Brother Love.

It isn't exactly the most entertaining video...

You mean to tell me that you didn't think Warrior beating up Brother love was entertaining?

If my memory serves (and I was in ... like 7th grade at the time) Brother Love was laying there with cottage cheese or something like that dripping out of his mouth... funny as hell to a 12-year old! I even have the set of WWF Classics trading cards from that year with the special Warrior standing with one foot on Brother Love's chest.. which I enlarged and hung on my wall. (Wow, I'm a tool.)

Any one who's been to Wrestlecrap when it was fully alive knows the Hulk training Mean Gean is worth getting the original WWF funniest moments. It's really ironic know that the Huckster is one the new one and Hulk is WWF champ.

That's true ReopMan.  Don't you love the angles where Mean Gene gets involved?  The worst was the one where he ws feuding with Mark Madden and actually had a match against him in Kelowna BC I think.  I remembered that because of the shame I felt when this match took place on my home province.
