Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 17, 2002 From Smackdown Spoilers on 411wrestling.com: In the back, Kidman views a tape of Stasiak's horrendous promo. Helms flies in and they both thank god that they're on SmackDown and not on Raw. Kidman says something is missing, but Helms attempts to cheer him up. Kidman says that noone knows who he is, nor care about his match against Tajiri. Helms tells him that the crowd will pop for anything Texas related. What do you take this as? Could Kidman become the focal point of the Cruiserweight Division, trying to bring respect and acclaim back to guys like Hurricane, Tajiri, etc. Or do you think this leaves the door open for Jamie Knoble, Rey Mysterio Jr., or Shannon Moore to join the face side of the light heavyweights? Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 My initial presumption is that Kidman is referring to his once (and future?) valet Torrie Wilson. Which, by the way, is a pairing I never liked visually, because Wilson is taller than Billy. It looks sort of awkward on television, (which is not to say that there is anything wrong with tall women seeing/dating/walking around short men. It just looks unusual. And I think in the wrestling biz, it somehow looks "un-right" and might hurt both of their careers.)
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I don't think that really makes much sense because Sable was taller then Mero and they still together.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Personally i hope it means that more juniors will be arriving soon...we know about Rey, but maybe they have designs on other guys to. I hope it doesnt mean he's missing torrie and wants her or whatever, but it probably does.???
Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I don't think that really makes much sense because Sable was taller then Mero and they still together. ...And look how over Mero got. In the real world, it's fine, but I think on TV its a "bad" visual that works against all parties concerned.
Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I interpreted it as Kidman wanting to do something at Backlash to get noticed, like pull out some crazy high flying move, or take an insane bump, or maybe steal the show by putting on a ***** match...
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted April 17, 2002 Soph Posted on April 17 2002,11:04 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I interpreted it as Kidman wanting to do something at Backlash to get noticed, like pull out some crazy high flying move, or take an insane bump, or maybe steal the show by putting on a ***** match... I doubt he'd be missing a 'HOLY FUCK' moment...cuz thats exactly what it would be...a moment. Wouldnt really legitimize him or a cruiser division. As far a looking to steal the show with a ***** match, that should be the expectation of any wrestler.
Guest Report post Posted April 17, 2002 I was thinking "steal the show" like how the first Hardyz/Edge & Christian Ladder match stole the show, and nobody saw it coming..I realize my expectations are way too high.
