Guest treble charged Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 Click Here for pictures of a WWF house show from Spring 1993. The show took place in the Brockville Memorial Centre in Brockville, Ontario. The pictures are of Money Inc., Undertaker, and Razor Ramon. Some of the matches from the card include: -Money Inc. vs. Steiner Brothers (WWF Tag Team Titles) -Undertaker vs. Giant Gonzalez -Razor Ramon vs. Tatanka -Owen Hart vs. Terry Taylor -Crush vs. Doink There were some other matches that I can't remember off of the top of my head. I can only remember Mr. Hughes being another guy who was there.
Guest Daredevil21 Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 Cool pics man. Man that's a very ECW-looking venue that they were at. Sounds like an ok card too. Gonzalez/Taker was cool for the marks and Owen/Taylor would have been a good technical match.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 Cool looking pictures. I agree about it looking like a "ECW-looking venue". That was around the time WWF business was going down, I belive.
Guest treble charged Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 Yeah, this was during Hogan's 5th title reign, when he won th belt and went off of TV for a few months. Plus, I think this was the "B" show for the night. A year or two later at the same place, they had an indy show. I think it was Killer Kowalski's promotion, since Terra Ryzing (HHH) and Perry Saturn were there. Security wasn't too high, though, since after the last match, everyone rushed the ring.
Guest ratboy Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 That ring looks incredibly tiny, and it all reminds me of the local ice arena.
Guest treble charged Posted February 10, 2002 Report Posted February 10, 2002 That ring looks incredibly tiny, and it all reminds me of the local ice arena. The ring was normal size, if I remember correctly. It might just be the camera angle. The Memorial Centre is one of 2 hockey arenas in Brockville and it is the bigger of the 2. It has around 2,000 seats, but you can see in the picture that some people are sitting in the player's benches and the penalty boxes. Plus, at one end of the ice, they had bleachers set up and people were sitting there.
Guest FakeRazor Posted February 11, 2002 Report Posted February 11, 2002 Awesome pics. Looks like an indy show... jeez.
Guest treble charged Posted February 11, 2002 Report Posted February 11, 2002 Thanks for the feedback, guys. I do have some pictures of that indy show I mentioned before somewhere. If I can find them, I'll post them up here, too. I hope that I have a picture of Terra Ryzing in there.
Guest treble charged Posted February 11, 2002 Report Posted February 11, 2002 Here is the card for the house show It's kind of worse for wear, and not all of the matches that are on the card took place. The other side is an ad for the first King of the Ring. (Note the ICOPRO ad at the bottom)
Guest Drury37 Posted February 13, 2002 Report Posted February 13, 2002 I went to a show around the same time at the Nassau Colliseum and I remembered that The Steiner Brothers took on Money Inc. and Crush took on Doink, too. Thanks.
Guest fd2blk78 Posted February 14, 2002 Report Posted February 14, 2002 sweet pics, look how small the arena is. good lord. vince wouold probably cringe if he saw those today
Guest treble charged Posted February 14, 2002 Report Posted February 14, 2002 The WWF will never come back here. Business would have to be REALLY bad if they were. I'm surprised that more indy promotions don't come here though. It was a pretty enthusiastic crowd.
