I think that the Mouth of the South was the best manager.  Jimmy had most of the best guys such as the Natural Disasters, Money Inc., Nasty Boys, and Honky Tonk Man.

Jim Cornette.  It'd be great if they used him to get one of the OVW/HWA guys over, like Heyman is doing with Brock.  I'd have Corny come back as a face, with his "hot young prospect" to feud with Heyman and Brock.

Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy "Mouth Of The South" Hart and Paul Heyman are, too me, the greatest managers of all time.  But I couldn't choose one, if I had too I guess Cornette would have to be it.  It's good to see old school managers coming back, there's nothing wrong with a bit of T & A leading the Wrestlers to the ring but they never seem to get the Wrestlers over.

Heyman rules it too, its good to see him back in a managerial position.  It looks like the days of male managers could be returning, what with Rico, Paul Heyman, and soon Arn Anderson.  YAY!

There are two things that always got Heyman and Cornette over.  They both cut fantastic promos, obviously, but even more than that.  Watch them when they're at ringside.  Running around the ring, pounding the mat, taunting the crowd.  It's what made Corino awesome in his ECW managerial role.  The biggest problem with female managers is they're nothing but eye candy.  They stand there and seem disinterested.  A good manager can add something to a nothing match and something more to a good match.

Female managers certainly do suck, recently I read that Tajiri came out without Tori, and got booed!

 

The greatest female manager has to be Sherri Martell, great heel tactics, getting the sly kicks in outside the ring screaming at the fans etc. Watching an old WWF tape recently I saw Dino Bravo with a manager I had never heard of before 'Frenchie Marc' with a beret, retarded French accent, monacle, rain coat and snooty laugh-I don't think he lasted too lon though.

 

My favourite manager was Heenan-I still laugh out loud thinking of him selling that neck injury for over a year!

My top choice would be Heenen ... but btwn. being sick and the bad neck, he wouldn't be the same Brain that everyone loved/loved to hate.

So, I'd have to go with Cornette.  Give him some other young guy to feud with Lesnar and Paul Heyman.  Neither has to be face or heel, just have both be "tweeners" ... the legit heat btwn. Paul and Cornette would provide enough fuel to make the promos work, and if he's with someone that Brock wrestled with or against in the minors, they'd have that experience to use to have a better-than-expected match.

Teddy Long wasn't funny, he didn't have a good gimmick, he just reminded me of a overgrown mole. He was always lame in my book, not a good mouthpiece.

The WWF had some great one back in the late 80's and early 90's.  Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan, Slick were all terrific heel managers in the WWF.  Elizabeth ruled too.

 

Bill Alfonso is still my all time favorite though.

Frenchy Martin was his name, and he was a wrestler in the WWF before he managed Bravo, I think they actually tag teamed a bit. When he retired he became Bravo's manager for a few years.

 

He did contribute very little though, and Hart was a much better manager for Bravo.

 

My pick is Heenan, with Slick as a VERY close second.

I really don’t care. I just know from my a college course in memory (Pysch 300 level course)that what you claim is rare. You must be one of the few that has been blessed the w/ extra-ordinary skill to retain memories from when you were young. Good for you, I hope pro-wrestling wasn’t the only thing you decided you could remember

I must be because I remember a lot from when I was young very well.By the way im only 14 so it wasn't that long ago.I could tell you about what I did in nursery school and what TV Shows I used to watch and when they were on and crazy stuff like that.
