Triple h upset at rock's comments

Recommended Posts

Guest oldschoolwrestling

Word is that Triple H is upset over the recent comments made by the Rock on ESPN's "Unscripted With Chris Connelly." The Rock said that the WWF has a lot of people in top positions that do business in an underhanded way and most got the feeling that he was talking about Triple H.

Check out the Scorpion King speaking the truth with an acid tongue. Not that its gonna matter, HHH cant really do anything about it, and I'm sure the Rock wasnt looking to start any major rifts to form. Probably a little frustrated at the direction of things maybe

HHH is just upset because Rock is above the law.  No matter what happens, Vince will not allow Rock to be depushed.

Maybe so, but you can bet Rock will be doing the j-o-b the next time those two are in the ring.

Which probably won't be for awhile, since Rock is gonna be out all summer and will probably never be a full time wrestler again, since he just signed a contract w/ Universal studios to do X amount of films.

If Triple H doesn't do things underhandedly, then why would he be upset?

Triple H feels vulnerable, Rocky is perhaps with Austin and Taker, one of the three men who have more stroke than

Triple H. Yet it's Triple H who seems to abuse the power most.

Triple H's Intensity is gonna get the better of him one day.

Yeah, that Rock interview was great, as was the one on Leno.

The Rock interview I enjoyed the most was the print interview in the new issue of Stuff magazine. Rock shows a great sense of humor and it's a great read.

Rock is simply great for wrestling. Period.

Exactly. Rock didn't mention any names so if HHH isn't doing anything underhanded why is he getting upset? I wish Rock would've name dropped. Maybe now the foundation will start to crumble.

I can't wait for the next person who leaves the WWF. Remember when people would leave WCW when Nash was the booker? They'd all be like "Nash had too much power blah, blah, blah". Well, I imagine it won't be much different this time around except it will be about how HHH is weilding too much power.

Well, I don't particularly like the Rock, but it's good to see someone bring politics to the public eye. Not that any marks will actually even consider he is talking about Triple H(if he even was).

I think you're right Human Fly. When Foley and Chyna left the WWF, neither one really let loose with any scathing remarks about the backstage scene. Foley only pissed on the writers While he was still with the company. The next star to leave the WWF will probably enlighten us to the real drama occurring in the WWF. Rock is only the first step.

Word has it, huh. I guess I'll be a sheep and believe everything 1Wrestling has to tell me. Gosh it's so much fun when your dealing with speculation. Especially when that speculation is considered the truth here. It's just so much easier than finding out the truth. Ahhhh, fuck this. And fuck 1wrestling too.

The truth about what the Rock said or the truth in general about the backstage area.

well it's hard to dispute what the rock said since it was on espn and alot of people saw it. Now what he meant might be a different story.

And as for the backstage itself, well there can only be so many signs hitting you over the head before you have to be a moron to not realize it. We take it as truth because there would have to be ALOT of coincidences for it not to be.

Geeze does this mean that he-who-i-can't-mention-withut-being-banned is going to start trying to convince Vince that The Blue Chipper should be brought back?

About what Rock said, I think he may be implying about several people, including HHH. I think he may also be talking about Taker, Hogan, and just about any wrestler who attends the booking meetings. But Rock has the luxury of being fairly untouchable. Plus he's so busy with all his other shit, he probrably just rolls with whatever the creative team churns out to him. The ESPN interview thing was probrably a little stab at creative for coming up with horrible storylines the last 8 months.

About the backstage area in general, I think a lot of smarks overestimate the supposed "power" HHH wields. I know that people see him as kind of a figurehead because he is with Steph, but my feeling is that if there is someone to point the blame on for de-pushes and just stupid decisions it's Vince. He is the end all, be all of the shows. If he can be swayed by HHH or whoever to ruin company business to stroke their egos, then that's Vince's bad. I have a saying as part of my signature, and that's how I take the backstage news. I believe a lot of the internet "reporters" make shit up to get more hits for their sites or sell more newsletters or get whatever attention they can get at the expense of whoever is percieved to have power in the back. Do I think HHH almost literally books the shows himself during pillow talk with Steph? No I do not. Do I think he tries to push his programs more than any other wrestler during the booking meetings. Yes. But what wrestler wouldn't. I also think that the workers shouldn't be allowed to attend the production or booking meeting. Or maybe ALL  the workers should attend so that they can have feedback toward their own respective programs. But then there would be chaos because every one and their mother would ask why am I not on tv or why am I not on tv as much as so and so. Better off with no workers in the booking or production meetings.

So what are you saying?  You worded it so that no-one could have a clue what you meant (have the WWF been teaching you?), 1wrestling are usually right when it comes to backstage rumours (remember when everyone said that they were wrong about Bret and he went and admitted that they contacted him) so i'm not going to despute them on this.  And I can't see who else he meant backstage apart from Austin.

Err, Hogan has no power in the booking meetings.  If he did then I doubt he would have jobbed to Rock at Wrestlemania.  I also doubt he would have meant Hogan in the first place, he's had a lot of good stuff to say about Hulk Hogan so I doubt he'd go out and badmouth him like that.

Oh and 1wrestling.com isn't one of those sites who write lies on adverts on other sites to get more hits because it doesn't have too.  1wrestling, along with wrestlingobserver and lop are the most reliable sources on the net.  Lance Storm has a link to 1wrestling on his website and I doubt he'd have that link if it was full of lies.

The Rock interview in the latest Rolling Stone actually touches on the subject of locker room jealousy a little. The article states that Steve Austin and Chris Jericho are the only two wrestlers he considers close friends. Here's a direct quote from the article:

"Very, very few genuine friends," he mutters. "I think it's probably just the industry, and how my life is."

I know it's pretty vague. But he seems to be hinting at wrestling as being very political and there are very few people he really trusts.

Great story by the way. Rock comes across great as always, even if the writer seems overly fascinated with how much Rock eats.

Don't forget, him and Triple H have a little thing stemming from the Austin/HHH mini-feud backstage.
