Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 The WWF website is reporting that Kane will be out of action three to four months after getting surgery on his bicep... Now tell me that isn't the worst timing ever. I know anytime is a bad time for an injury, especially serious ones, but this has to be a real let down for Kane and the WWF. Recently, Kane has been getting the biggest push of his career since 1998, when he won the WWF Title at the King of the Ring against Austin, and now this happens? I'll be honest, I've never been a real huge fan of Kane but I did enjoy some of his work. When something like this happens to a guy like Kane, especially in the situation he was in lately, you really have to feel sorry for the guy.

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 18, 2002 No, not really. I don't wish anybody any harm but getting Kane of Tv is cool with me.

Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I have to agree with Bif. I've never been a big fan of Kane, but his recent mic work has been entertaining, and he has progressed in the ring since he split with 'Taker. Whichever way you look at it, for him, the timing is unlucky and you have to feel at least a bit sorry for him.

Canadian stuff/ sorry. Say, How Do you get a one armed newfie out of atree? You wave at him. okay I'm done. Is that a pic of The MM VJ Amanda in your sig? C'mon Ed and George are WAY better! end of canadian stuff/ I don't like Kane but I hope he recouvers soon.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Any guesses as to how they'll be explaining this on TV? Is a chair shot to the head from X-Pac really that powerful? It really is too bad for Kane. If I'm going to have to see a big man pushed to the top, I'd pick certainly pick Kane over many others.
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Is that a pic of The MM VJ Amanda in your sig? C'mon Ed and George are WAY better! Yes cobainwasmurdered, its is Amanda Walsh aka MY Girlfriend! Ed and George are cool, but Amanda bees a hottie Are you Canadian too? Back to the Kane topic I think if he had to keep healthy, Kane would be on his way back up to respectable Main Event status. As Dr. Wrestlingphysics said, he has improved in and out of the ring recently, and is/was deserving of the push he was getting.

Guest Special K Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I was a bit bummed to hear this too. Barring the recent entry of Lesnar, I really think Kane was just about the best big man in wrestling. And the fans were really eatting his new persona up w. a spoon, as was I. And think on this, now that Kane's out, we have Bradshaw to replace him, who has a dull look, average charisma, and some pretty damn lame mic skills.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 18, 2002 "and some pretty damn lame mic skills" Except when he's in Texas where he can get the cheap pop
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Nice Newfie jokes, lol. I was started to enjoy the Kane character as of late...oh well.
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Hate to hear that...I'm a big Kane fan and he was just starting to get a big push after the roster split. I am a Kanenite!
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 This is good for the WWF. Now they are going to have to elevate someone else as a face. The top two choices are Booker T and RVD. I could see them having RVD drop the IC title at the PPV and then go up to main event status. They could also turns Booker T face and make him a major face. Both would be good, but Booker T is the better mic worker.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I'm not much of a Kane fan but yes this was bad timing for him to get a somewhat major injury. This is like Beniot getting a major injury right as he was about to get his biggest push. But i agree that this could be a good thing for WWF tv since it will likely lead to WWF pushing someone else. Someone new being pushed would be alot better then having to sit through WWF's storyline to explain Kane's unburnt face. But of course we all know that all this will do is make WWF shove Bradshaw down our throats even harder. Booker T or RVD being elevated in WWF...that's an insane idea when they can push Bradshaw even harder. But if by some off chance WWF actually does decide to push someone who hasn't been "WWF for life" to the main event on Raw it would most likely be RVD. Then if he moved up Lesnar or Booker T could move to IC.
Guest Risk Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Now if only Bradshaw gets injured...maybe he'll slip while raping someone in the shower.
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Now if only Bradshaw gets injured...maybe he'll slip while raping someone in the shower. Karma is a SHOOOOOOOOOTER... Tough luck for Kane. And worse yet, X-Pac can take credit for it. This could lead to X-Pac being pushed as somebody "dangerous." EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

C'mon... the WWF never pushed RVD (actually, they did have him headline the PPV against Austin and Angle but that's it) and Booker T before, why would they now? I wish they would to, but they're not. Along with many others, I too was enjoying Kane's new mic work, and yes, they'll probably make X-Pac out to be a "giant killer" and a monster heel. Then, to test out the "giant killer" theme they could put him in a feud with Big Show. Eugh... sometimes I give myself the creeps

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Kane out? That sucks, I consider myself a Kanenite. And just when he was getting the big push. In a perfect world, Booker and RVD would be elevated by this injury. But this is the WWF. X-Pac and Big Show will get the pushes instead. Whoopee.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 What a shame. I feel really bad for Kane, let alone Glen Jacobs. The man has been really de-pushed since breaking up with Taker, and this really was the start of a HUGE push for him and now that's gone... Best of luck to him as I also consider myself a Kanenite... Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I've never been a huge fan of Kane, much less bigger wrestlers, but it's always a bummer to find out one of the more popular big guys is out. It's too bad for Kane, now that he was getting more television air time, and getting a bigger push in the storylines.....
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I feel sorry for the big lug, too. He's one of the few guys over 6'5 who can actual work a decent match in the WWF right now and he gets fucked over pretty hard on heels of the biggets push he's had since 98 against Austin. I don't like him a whole lot, but damn.... what a bummer.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Kane has been painted into a corner by his gimmick for a long time now. I don't think a long lay off is necessarily a bad thing if it gives him and the writers time to come up with something new and exciting for him to do. Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 No, not really. I don't wish anybody any harm but getting Kane of Tv is cool with me. I agree with this guy the only thing is now that Kane is Out is that the Reason for the Bradshaw push probably not but if so Please Kane Come back and save us from a Bradshaw singles Push. Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 18, 2002 It will more than likely work out in his favor His return will be pushed hard, garnering a lot more heat than he already has, he will have a fresh look more than likely, with totally new storylines and maybe different people to work with. Could be excellent for his career in the long-run. Pretty bad timing for him personally though. I'm sure he was looking forawrd to this and enjoying the split and then BAM! He will get what he deserves I'm sure when he returns
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 If they have any sense, they'll use the time off as an excuse for that "cosmetic surgery"... So when he gets back, he can build a character instead of a gimmick.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 It is horrible timing. I think Kane was in line for a mega-push but this injury is going to kill all that. I would have liked to have seen him get into the main event scene and even into the title picture. Too bad.
Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Maybe they'll give him the "Massive Babyface comeback push" that worked so well for Triple H. Or didnt. Hm. Either way, poor sod.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Wait a minute, this is almost GOOD timing. I find it a little odd that right after he's unmasked he's out 3-4 months?!? Surely they aren't swerving us with an injury, tht'd be wrong. Just can't stop thinking about what absolutely coincidental reasons surround this injury...
