Guest Report post Posted April 18, 2002 From Lords of Pain: In what appears to be something of preparation for a possible name change from the WWF lawsuit, the WWF NY was giving away lots of their plastic cups. WWF NY might be changing its name to "The World", and the WWF is expected to take the name WWFE for World Wrestling Federation Entertainment. (Meltzer, 2002) Can anyone give me the details on this lawsuit? For soemthing so big as forcing the company to cahnge its name I havent heard alot about it. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 18, 2002 World Wildlife Fund has been biting at Vinnie Mac for a few years. Lawsuit happened, came out in the animal peoples' favor. Expect the initals "WWF" to slowly phase themselves out over the next year and the full "World Wrestling Federation" name to be used on TV more than it is now. They're not even The World Wildlife Fund anymore, they call themselves The Worldwide Fund for Nature, so they should use the initials WFN instead of hassling McMahon and the WWF.
