3 Years Ago…….. Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation announce that they have bought World Championship Wrestling from Ted Turner. This ends a ten year war between the two companies as well ends the popular 5 ½ year Monday Night War between the WWF and WCW. The WWF now owns all trademark and copyright names, as well as the WCW/NWA film library which includes former organizations World Class Championship Wrestling, the Midsouth Wrestling Association and the Universal Wrestling Federation that the NWA acquired in the 80’s. In addition, the WWF also receives all contracts of wrestlers who did not have creative control over their TV character. The list includes……. The Wall, Billy Kidman, Kaz Hayashi, Jamie Knoble, Yang, Shannon Moore, Evan Karagias, Shane Helms, Stacy Keibler, Paisley, Mike Sanders, Johnny The Bull, Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo, Mark Jindrak, Sean O’Haire, Reno, Chavo Guerrero, Hugh Morrus, Jason Jett, Kwee-Wee, Elix Skipper, Kid Romeo, Lash Leroux, M!
