Who's writing which show?

Around this time last year, Vince and co were going on about how when the split happened, each show would have seperate writers and production teams, etc. So now that we have the branch extension, does anyone know who's writing what? Or is it Steph all the way?

I Have no idea who is writing for Raw or Smackdown although i heard Steph was the one behind the Bradshaw push so she might be a Raw writer if she did suggest the Bradshaw Push i will never like steph again. Damn Bradshaw and he's cheap Pop's.

Indeed... It's a sad state when I ask that question so we know who's to blame. And Stephs knockers would have to deflate before I'd do her. But thats a different story....

I think its the same crew and writers for both shows. And why are they arent doing house shows together? Wasnt it said wrestler from both shows would on the same card but wouldnt fight each other? And is there still any word about the ppvs?

Not that I've heard of. I just read it in an old interview about the writers, wondering if it was true. So Steph's to blame for everything? Everyone here's gonna love that. lol

The same "creative" team write both shows. I always thought it was a better idea if they had two different writing teams competing against each other with the the team getting a bonus if their show had better ratings than the other.

Well, thats an idea... then they might actually start getting concerned with building up the newer talent. But this has all been said, hasn't it? Imagine the fighting that would go on over big ppv's like wrestlemania, though....

For big PPV's ie. the interpromotional ones...both creative teams would write the show together. In my opinion such an idea wouldn't be hard to do.

I think that would be a great idea to have to seperate writers but you still will have Vince okaying crap on both shows, so say the people that wrote Smackdown came up with some killer storylines that he didn't like... no go.  But if Stephanie comes up with some weird homosexual storyline on why Hall (aka Greaseball) and X-Pac (aka Greaseball-light) hair is so greasy all the time he would okay it.

I seriously doubt the writers care who wins or loses the matches.

 

Besides, they could always say "Vince said to do this".

 

I always thought that an idea of an NCAA tournament culminating with a final four at the KOTR would be perfect. Winner gets a title shot at the next PPV, so they can have everybody but the champ in the tourney.

I think that would rock as well.  I would also like them to possibly work in a World War 3 type of match.... perhaps to determine a world title shot at some other PPV. Possibly the top 4 from each brand, last man standing would get shot.  It would give you a kindof team dynamic to a point and then one-on-one and the whole personal feuds thing.   On an unrelated note... I would like to see First Blood matches come back... there really hasn't been any in awhile.

I just meant that the teams pf writers would be worried who is the most watched, if it was a reward based system. your idea rules, though.

A full federation tournament culminating at KotR might technically be nice, but the problem is that, like is the case with the Royal Rumble, there'd probably be very little surprise as to who's going to win.  The WWF doesn't have much of a track record of using multi-wrestler events to put a rising star over huge.  We'd probably just be left wondering if it would be Austin, Undertaker, Hogan, or Rock winning the tournament.  For the past few years it's been painfully obvious who was going to win the Royal Rumble, and there have only realistically been 3 or 4 people who are even possible contenders in it.  Everyone else is just a body to be discarded.  I think even the fans who don't pay too much attention to behind-the-scenes stuff have probably noticed this.

 

Chances are such a tourney would just become an agent of storyline, and a fairly blatant one at that.  The odds of a winner who's a surprise in any way are pretty darn low.
