We have an awesome Webmaster in AreaCode212, and he has put together a great site design to meld what we liked about the former TheSmarks.com, and incorporate new ideas. The forum will remain as “da mother ship,” but even that will be changing to get rid of some unused folders, and to add in some old favorites (Say hello again to the Flaming folder, among others). We have also been working on introducing some good content to the site. I am proud to say that we have recently found a Raw/Smackdown recapper with a unique style that exceeds anything you have read before. I look forward to reading his take on the world of wrestling each week. Also coming in columns will be merger of pop culture sections. Specifically, two excellent DVD and music reviewers will be on staff. For more wrestling content, myself and TheDames will run reviews and interviews of Independent stars from NWA Wildside to Ring of Honor to Dusty Rhodes’ bastardized WCW promotion, Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling. We are also in the recruiting stages of finding someone to glean the sites and bring us a small news update everyday. Tape reviews, and a puro column are not far off as well. It is also about going back to what worked before. When Rantsylvania existed a long, long time ago, regular posters and readers could submit columns or thoughts to the site every week. We plan on doing the same and subjecting each to a rigorous (read: while we are drunk at 3 a.m) review. Those columns that survive this test of intellectual strength will be found on the site’s main page, I guess in a form not unlike the Mailbag used to be. In addition, ah yes, the forum. We will be giving it a slight cosmetic makeover (think Vanessa Carlton, not Britney Spears for the magnitude we want.) The new site will be launching in less than two weeks. At that time, all the common website addresses for the forum will refresh back to our new main page.
