Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 If I could offer just a couple dream matches that I would've loved to have seen from wrestlers in their prime: The Hollywood Blondes vs The Steiner Brothers Randy Savage vs HHH Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle The Rockers vs The Midnight Express Ricky Steamboat vs Shawn Michaels
Guest Singular Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Bret Hart and Hogan never met. I don't know if the match would be any good, but the historical value would be excellent. didn't Steamboat and Michaels have a few matches when Steamboat was the Dragon in his second WWF run? Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Hart Foundation vs. Steiner Bros. Steiners vs. Hollywood Blondes British Bulldogs vs. Midnight Express Ricky Steamboat vs. Sting (they were always both babyfaces, and I don't think they ever had a match together) Goldberg vs. Flair
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I would have love to seen the Hollywood Blondes take on the Steiner Brothers. It almost seemed like the Hollywood Blondes were coming in right as the Steiner Brothers were going out. Thanks.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 I wouldn't want to see Flair job to Goldberg and you know he would have had to back in WCW.
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 18, 2002 If that ever happened I would have completely turned against Goldberg and the WCW. Thanks.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 18, 2002 Actually, I would have liked to seen a match with The Hollywood Blondes and The Midnight Express (Eaton and Lane). That could have been the classic to end all classics. Anybody know if Bruno Sammartino and Lou Thesz ever met? There seem to be conflicting stories of that one, and that would have been interesting. Not necessarily good, but interesting.

Guest Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Hey everyone -- I've seen 3 major matches listed here that did happen! (1) Bret vs. Hogan happened at least once on a Nitro (September 28, 1998). It was ended b/c of a run-in, but it did happen. Bret was taken out on a stretcher and Hogan then started to wrestle Sting. Because of the wolfpak run-in, it was assumed Hogan won by DQ. (2) Flair vs. Goldberg - happened at least once on a nitro, maybe twice. It was March 9, 1999. It ended in a run-in, but they did have a match. Goldberg won by DQ. (3) Savage vs. Austin - Savage defeated Austin in the second round of the 1995 U.S. Title tournament. That match aired on a Saturday night. I remember watching it and I know I have it on tape somewhere. I remember that Savage won it cleanly with an elbow from the top. TD
Guest Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Another one.... Savage vs. Benoit happened at least 2 times on Saturday nights in 1995 I believe. They were wild, great matches.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Also, Flair and Benoit must have crossed paths at some point, surely?
Guest Report post Posted April 19, 2002 yeah, I know Flair and Benoit did a couple of times. But I can't remember exactly when, so it's too hard to look it up. It is safe to say that basically anyone in WCW in that time period crossed paths, even if it was only to lead to a screwy finish. The only exception would be things involving Hogan and any of the non-main eventers.
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 19, 2002 This is a match that happened but it would have been awesome if it took place at WWF WrestleMania VIII and that is Hulk Hogan Vs. Ric Flair. That would have just been awesome. Thanks.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Didn't Flair and Benoit have a match on Thunder during the whole "young vs. old" angle in the summer of '99? Others I would have liked to see: Kurt Angle vs. Ricky Steamboat Hogan vs. Michaels Edge/Christian vs. Rock N' Roll Express Bruiser Brody vs. Cactus Jack Art Barr/Eddy Guerrero vs. Steiners
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted April 19, 2002 Oh man Kurt Angle Vs. Ricky Steamboat would have been an awesome match when Steamboat was in his prime.I'm saying Kurt Angle is still in his prime. Thanks.
