Viking Hall/ECW Arena being renamed

Frank Talent was on Jimmy Ty's radio show recently and announced the following:

 

Viking Hall/The ECW Arena is going to be renovated and renamed Al Hambra (sp?) Hall. From now on, it'll mainly hold boxing shows, but wrestling events will continue on the weekend. The last time it was refurbished was back in 2002, when XPW had the floors painted black and cleaned up the locker room area, which had been a dirty mess ever since ECW stopped running there and other indys came in. Do know this, though...Talent isn't the most reliable person, even though is is the Philly Athletic Commissioner. He's made mistakes beforehand about saying on other radio shows new regulations that were planning to be implemented, yet never saw the light of day. But man, this is a travesty.

 

I called Butch D'Ammado, one of the building's owners and a guy I've talken to several times before, to ask if this was true, but he didn't answer the phone. Hopefully we can get a confirmation ont his soon.
