1) Both Russo & Ferrero were sent to WCW as moles for Vince to destroy the company

2) Brett Hart losing to HBK in Canada was a work

3) neptism in the business:  McMahons, Rhodes, Watts

4) Jericho as the Unified Champ was successful

what is your opinion on the subject?

Wow I thought I was being censored until I notice the moderator move the thread. :P

1 Well to this mark it is so true.  To me the show just went to hell after these 2 guys were brought in.  They became on aire personalities Russo being the Hogan Hater and breaking kayfabe nearly every hour (New Blood Angle) and Ferrero doing that stupid Steinbrenner Character from Seinfield and becoming the Cruiserweight champ as Okahoma mocking JR.  Then Nitro ended up being WWF lite mocking everything that WWF was doing at the time.  The "personal" grudge that these 2 guys + Bishoff did calling Raw results, making challenges, mocking WWF characters etc just ruined my favorite show.

2 Well lets look at the results Vince McMahon became the #1 heel in the WWF.  While Brett went on to WCW to ruin his legacy

3 the whole McMahon clan are tv characters, Eric Watts became champ?, Dustin as US champ continued to hold down Stunning Steve Austin.

4 Slam Sports yes man Don "Cryus" Callis claimed the Jericho reign was successful.

lol to the responses

Number 3 is definitely true and has been for as long as I can remember.

1. I'd say it isn't, but I'll be damned if they didn't seem to prove that myth with how they booked the shows...

2. I think it MAY be a work that later turned into a shoot(a la Russo/Hogan).

3. Oh yeah, it exists alright. Look no further than the AWA and Vern's obsession with putting the AWA Title on his son, despite all the promoters damn near going mutiny on Gagne to block the move.

4. Well, he was getting decent heat after the Rock feud, but the terrible booking from then on doomed him.

I forgot about Greg Gagne of AWA.  Was Larry Zybrisco made champ because he was married to the promoters daughter?

I think Russo and Ferrera were sent as a legitimate WCW "invasion" to get WCW back for the NWO angle(which, I mean, by making everyone think the WWF was invading WCW).

I don't think nepotism is so much a theory as a cast-iron fact.

Sure was. Otherwise Verne never would of done it after Larry jumped to the NWA. Larry jumped back while being the holder of the NWA Western States Heritage title so Verne must of promised him the title to get him back.
