Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 1, 2004 Oh, and in case anyone wanted to know, I've clearly been on the verge of a nervous break down for a good while now. Anyway, after 2002, the Angels joined my list of teams that would push me over the edge if I ever had to see them win (again.) After 2003, The Astros joined that list. As of right now, it consists of the Mets (unimportant) BoSox, Cubs, Angels and Astros God help you all.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 I mean its difficult to produce consistantly without drawing walks. Batting average is subject to variations. He hit .311 last year. What happens when the batting average drops 30 points? He becomes an out machine. We now have 2500 at bats to evaluate Guillen, and those last 500 are seriously out of line. I don't see why we should expect him to maintain that production.

About the same time I turned 12. Seeing your mortal enemy win is one thing, but the Angels? I think after 1986 and 1995, they deserved some good fortune for once. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 I don't take well to being humiliated. And its the Angels' fault that the Yankees sucked?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 1, 2004 The Yankees got more than their ration of shit from me for that showing, don't worry.

Bored 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 Or the A's in 1929! Oh glancing at the preview again probably should have mentioned Jason Schmidt's elbow being a huge question mark for the Giants as he's starting the year on the DL. Thing is in that division 84 wins might win it and the Giants can do that as long as Bonds is upright. There is truly only one bad team I think in the Rockies but the other four just scream barely above .500 baseball to me. Unless one team in the division has a bunch of guys have career years it should be long, brutal finish to see who wins it.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 I had heard some concerns about Schmidt, but nothing quotable. I wrote up the bulk two weeks ago, before the injuries emerged. I felt it best not to go in and edit stuff, as I'd end up changing things every six minutes at some point. As for the NL West, I think the Padres could emerge, or even the Diamondbacks. The teams don't suck outright at least.

They gave the Yankees a pretty good whipping too. 2002 was more humiliating. At least last year people could blame the Red Sox series to an extent. I don't, but you could.
