What's the worst album you've ever heard?

Recommended Posts

Seriously. And I don't mean bands like the Backstreet Boys or N Sync or shit like that. What album do you despise from a genre of music you enjoy? For example, if you're a rap fan, which rap album makes you sick? If you like metal, what's the worst metal album out there?

Pocket full of Kyptonite, by the spin doctors. I got because of two princes and that was the only song worth listening to on the whole album.

When I first heard it, Metallica-Metallica (Black album). I followed the making in Rip magazine and even put money down on it so I would be gauranteed a copy. When I threw into my CD player I was soooooo bummed. At the time I was getting into the whole Earach records scene so to me it was total sell-out bullshit. It has grown on me and I don't hate it as much as the rest of the 90's output, but boy was I pissed.

Undoubtedly, the worst metal album I've ever heard comes from Six Feet Under. It's called Maximum Violence. Are the songs good? Decent at best. But Barnes vocals are HORRIBLE. Only worthwhile songs are "Feasting On The Blood Of The Insane," "Victim Of The Paranoid," and their cover of "War Machine" (which I feel surpasses the original). In fact, SFU should do nothing but death metal covers of classic rock songs.

dissapointed by these albums

2nd Ramstein album sounded different from the 1st

all LL Cool J albums after Mama said knock you out, too much R&B MTV friendly stuff

Mortal Kombat Soundtracks had bad techno/rock experiments

2nd Wyclef Jean album is crap....a duet with Kenny Rogers???

Rob Zombie Hillbilly Deluxe was too short

Dr Dre the Aftermath had only 2 good songs with him on it

Wasn't the last Smashing Pumpkins album a greatest hits collection? ;)

I also didn't think Wyclef Jean's Ecleftic: 2 Sides II A Book was bad at all.  In fact I rather enjoyed the uniqueness of many of its tracks.

The last two truly bad albums (where I didn't like a single song at all) that I heard were Hoobastank's self-titled debut, and Mpress' Suddenly.  As for the worst ever, I'd have to go with Ru Paul.

I'm a huge Donovan fan. I love alot of his 60's stuff.Very relaxing and transcendental. But he released an album in the late 90's called "Sutras". Oh how far my idols have fallen.

>That last Smashing Pumpkins album was terrible.

I agree.  But  we really should have seen it coming, as Billy Corgan started getting increasingly whiny (musically speaking) when he shaved his head.

I'd like to change my vote from Six Feet Under's Maximum Violence to the album released by FOZZY...**shudder**...

Yes...Sehnsucht is different from Herzeleid...or did you mistaken Sehnsucht for the first album? Not trying to be sarcastic/mean, but many do...

I haven't heard anything from herzelied yet, but i fucking love both sehnshucht and mutter. Biohazard's 'state of the world address' and Lit's 'a place in the sun' are worst albums i have ever bought.

i really enojyed their 92-96/97 stuff before Scott became a raging homo. his voice has totally changed for the worst. to quote "Creep":

"im half the man i used to be", he must be able to have seen into the future.

"Raging Homo" is not neccsarly meaning that he is a Homosexual but just "Not Cool". He is straight, I assume this because he beats his wife up on a constant basis.

i dont really think FOZZY counts (i mean i think it was impossible to have high hopes for it), anyway when i heard undisputed attitude by slayer, i was pissed, if you think god hates us all is worse than undisputed attitude then ...damn

I had the boot band tape when i was 8. <shudders> i still have it.

Scott Weiland has admitted to being Bisexual but his antics and shit are very queer.

You think Shangri-La-Dee-Da sucks the meat missile?

Get ahold of STP's album as Talk Show, when they had Dave Coutts as their lead singer instead of Scott Weiland.  That is the worst album that I've ever heard.

My other pick would probably have to be Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning, which just outright made me twitch for every track after "Can't Change Me."  No wonder he was looking to get back into the band scene.

Who the hell is Dave Coutts? And the album was called Live Show or STP called themselfs that? What was bad about EM? Sure it wasn't as cool as some of the SoundGarden things I heard but it wasn't bad.

I think euphoria morning is fantastic. Not as good as soundgarden, but a great album. More of a sophisticated sound. Pillow of your bones is great.
