Nosawa vs. Vamp could be great if done right. It really could. Vamp isn't awesome like Nosawa, but Nosawa could cover up his weaknesses quite well. Super D./Faviano...meh. Could be good, though. The four-way looks really good, all of the tag team matches look great...AWS's first show in months is looking good. And you can't go wrong if you're gonna bring in Sonjay Dutt, either.

Great card top to bottom from probably the most underated promotion in SoCal.

4-Way should be awesome, As should the XPW dream match tag, Pitbulls Vs. Los Luchas and Rising Son Vs. Human Tornado and I'm sure Nosawa will carry Vampiro to an ok match.

As for SD Vs. King Favi... it actually has a pretty interesting backstory. Which Favi goes over in this SoCal uncensored interview: http://www.socaluncensored.com/article432.html

Def. check this one out if in the area...

Actually, AWS has had 3 shows this year. Recently they had their 2 Year Anniversary show (3-20-04) which featured Sonjay Dutt & Super Dragon vs. Adam Pearce & Hardkore Kidd. They also had a 1-31-04 show which featured Super Dragon, Excalibur & Disco Machine vs. Adam Pearce, Hardkore Kidd & Al Katrazz. And their first show this year was a special Wednesday night show on 1-7-04 which featured B-Boy vs. Joey Ryan. All these videos are available to order at www.rudosmedia.com at a reasonable price.

Oh, really? My bad. I remember hearing about them when they released the Messiah shoot interview, but hadn't heard about them since, so I (erroneously) assumed they hadn't ran in awhile. My bad.

Since the show is tommorrow, I'll bump this up alittle and give my predictions on the updated card in bold.

Super Dragon vs. King Faviano

NOSAWA vs. Damien 666 - NO DQ

4-way for to crown the first AWS champion

ROH Champion Samoa Joe vs. NWA-TNA X-Division Champion Frankie Kazarian vs. PWG Champion Adam Pearce vs. Babi Slymm

AWS Tag Titles:

Aerial Express vs. Hardkore Inc.

The Havana Pitbulls vs. Zokre and Phoenix Star

Rising Son vs. The Human Tornado - Hair Vs. Hair

Supreme Kaos vs. Angel & Johnny Webb

Desire vs. Sara Del Rey

Joey Ryan Vs. Charles Mercury

King Jakal/El Mongol/Steve Pain/Eric Matlock/Chris Bosh Vs. Lil Cholo/AWC/Supa Badd/Ronin/Johnny Paradise/Ronin

On paper, this has the potential to be great. Very diverse showcase of alot of SoCal's best talent, it's just too bad this show isn't getting the hype it deserves. Any fan of PWG/RevPro or even XPW should really check this one out...

Some thoughts on this show:

Supreme Kaos Vs. Angel/Webb was an entertaining XPW style hardcore match. that had alot of chairs, tables and Supreme/Kaos bleeding like crazy. Supreme was pretty impressive as well pulling out dives I haven't seen him do in years. Finish came after Kaos Piledrove Angel thru a table. Probably my favorite match of the show.... reminded me of how much I miss the old 2000-2001 era XPW.

SD Vs. Favi: Wasn't very good at all, I wasn't really expecting a 5 star classic but this match was a real letdown. Nothing of note happened... beside Favi announcing his retirement afterward and SD's funny DDP impression.

Damian 666 Vs. Nosawa was another fun hardcore match. That involved alot of chairs and tables including Nosawa going thru a barbed wire table. Too bad the crowd was pretty much dead for this one as it was a very good match.

Samoa Joe Vs. Kazarian Vs. Pearce Vs. Slymm was very good maybe not AS good as you would think it could be, but still a worthy match never the less.

Ryan Vs. Mercury was ok but seemed alittle off, Joey Ryan's starting to look alot like Chris Benoit for some reason.

Everything else was ok to good (except for the bad women's match that is that went nowhere and seemed to last an hour)

Next AWS show is shaping up nicely as well with Super Dragon Vs. Sonjay Dutt, Adam Pearce Vs. Slymm for the AWS title (a week after their PWG title match oddly enough) Scorpio Vs. Cholo for the APW-LA JHW title already signed. Should be good...

Also, how well did Kaos work? Did he look alright, or was he sloppy?

He looked good and I didn't remember him botching anything (which is a step up from the last AWS show where he looked pretty sloppy and even botched his Falling Star Pildriver on Angel)

Kaos looked like shit. The show sucked. I feel robbed.

You seem to be in the minority. The show got great reviews on SCU.

Yeah, only about 4 reviews from people who said it was ok. Ask more people who went to the show and they'll tell you it blew balls.
