You should just be able to go to My Computer, double click on wherever drive the CD-R is in, and just drag back the file(s) onto the Desktop / Directory you want it in.

When i double click on the drive it gives me the following folders:

CDI

EXT

MPEGAV

SEGMENT

VCD

None of those have the video files in. Maybe im just stupid?

MPEGAV

This folder has a file with the suffix .dat (may be more than one.) That is the one you want. They play like any other mpg files, you might need to change the suffix to .mpg .

Are you using windows? These instructions should work on any version:

If you haven't already, open the MPEGAV folder and drag the .dat files to a folder on your computer, or whereever you want it.

Changing file extensions:

Viewing File Extensions

Before you can change the filename extension of a file, you must get windows to stop hiding the filename exensions if it is doing so. To do this, go to either the Computer Contents window (aka "My Computer) or the Windows Explorer window and select View, Options or View, Folder Options, or Tools, Folder Options.

"Hide file extensions for known file types"

Unselect this option if you want to show the filename extension for all files. If you have this option selected, only the filename extensions for files that are not associated with an application are displayed. It is recommended to unselect this option so that your filename extensions will be displayed. This will also allow you to change filename extensions for files easily.

Changing File Extensions

Right-click on a file or folder name and select Rename from the shortcut menu.

Click on the file or folder name, pause and click on the name a second time.

Select the file or folder and press the Rename shortcut key <F2>.

Rename the first part anything you want, make sure the extension is .mpg .
